Bit of a worry that Morata is gone for 4 weeks or so. Will Michy step up ? He has to really, because if he gets the consistent game time he should get, then he will have no excuses. So it's a big challenge to the kid who has been either good or terrible , rarely in between. I hope he comes good for his sake as well as ours.
Alternatives? Suppose a loan for Costa is out of the question? Loic Remy ? He's still around I think. Recall Tammy Abraham ? Could do a lot worse.

3 months loan move for Costa isn't too bad for obvious reasons.
But - not going to happen.

Tammy may be better than Batters unless Batters surprises all.
But Batters need to start games. That is a big IF at this time.

Do we have any other youngsters who are decent strikers Stan ? I'm a bit far away to keep up with the youth teams . Maybe we need one on standby, it would be sods law for Michy to twist his knee next , and then there'd be none !!!! I'm a bit surprised you didn't suggest Gary Cahill !!!!!

Well , everytime Batshit has had to step up, he has come on and scored so.....

Last season when Conte decided to give him game time in the last couple of games, he scored, the league cup game earlier this season, he started and grabbed a brace, against Atletico, he came on and scored.
So I think we are not in as bad a position as people think.
Is he as good as Morata? No. He is not as well suited to our style of play as Morata is either, but he will do for a few weeks.
At least we have the International break to eat up 2 weeks of that time I suppose.

We may have to consider a tactical revision if Bats is playing and perhaps play someone a lot closer to him so he isn't isolated all the time. The obvious one would be Hazard I guess.

It's a worry but Bats now gets his chance. He's done well as a sub and done well in cup games but now needs to steps up in the bread and butter of being a league starter.

If Batters does well now and when Morata is back I would rather stick with Batters over Will & Cescy further up Tbh.

Will looks tired and Cescy well he is Tired always.

Don't understand how either are tired tbh. We're only 7 games into the season ffs.

That would make them less tired one would hope !!
I think that Fabregas has simply slowed with age, but in the "right" game he is still a very clever player. Does that deserve his salary and the game time he gets? not in my book.
Now Willian looks as if his mind is somewhere else, he just doesn't "look" happy to me. Something amiss there.

It gets worse Kante hamstring injury came off after 38 mins in France qualifier, we may well be up the creek without a paddle. All our best replacements are on loan or deemed too young, hope this forces the hand a little and Conte will have to trust the youth.
