I posted this on another thread, but thought it worth one of its own, especially with the mention of City. (Now merged in the appropriate thread) It's well worth an hours watch, but I doubt it's a spoiler to say that whilst the recorded bits are indisputable, some of the claims made by the main players, including the bit about City, are open to question. I guess the strap line is 'be careful what you wish for'.
I just watched this and posted it on the 'no new owners' thread. I've watched a lot of Al Jazeera investigative docs over the years and they are generally pretty good and accurate.
You did better than me, I posted it elsewhere because couldn't find this thread. I think it's one that's well worth repeating. Now merged.
Samuelson, Hunter and their cronies are clearly liars and criminals so it's hard to know the truth of any of this. Hopefully some convictions may result from this since the Dutch are apparently already after Samuelson. Looks like City may have dodged a bullet - hopefully. It does highlight though the difficulty of selling a club and knowing who one is dealing with. Perhaps the Allam's should be given credit for their cautious approach with potential buyers and pulling the plug with potential buyers they were not entirely comfortable with. I think the film perhaps gives some credibility to what the Allam's have said about why deals fell through.
