Here's another from my era Quill... in Bobby Vee's later career. one of his backing group guitarists happened to be a tenant of ours for a few months.
Twenty minutes from Heathrow... American investment group ALK Capital has completed its takeover of Burnley, buying an 84% stake in the Premier League club.
Well done Curtis Woodhouse.Good to see an honest lad from my home town recognised for his dedication to sports.
The question here is how much of Assem Allam,s personal money has actually been invested in the club? The debt is to Allamhouse Ltd so the money loaned to City came from Allam Marine Ltd (reducing it,s profits & paying less tax). If Allam were to put the interests of Hull City first then the loan would have been paid off years ago & City would be debt free, but Allam doesn’t,t care about Hull City, so he keeps City permanently in debt to Allamhouse so he can keep milking the interest payments every year knowing that when he does eventually sell City recovery of the debt will be part of the asking price I could probably accept this if the Allams knew how to run a football club & we were still in the Premier League, but they have shown themselves to be clueless about football & how to treat supporters (which they are not & never have been) Bruce walked because he couldn’t work with Ehab. Atkins walked for the same reason. We are now in Div 1 due to the Allams incompetence & their reward for this is earning millions in interest every year for their continued incompetence & continued arrogance shown to lifelong City supporters.
"Former Hull City footballer and former professional boxer Curtis Woodhouse is among eight other amazing people listed on the 2021 New Years Honours List. The 40-year-old from Driffield has been awarded an BEM (British Empire Medal) for his services to both football and boxing." https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/news/hull-east-yorkshire-news/new-years-honours-2021-list-4842986
Some Afghan heroin fuelled warlords would be a step up from what we've got. They'd have some great half time entertainment.
Good post I do think the thing the Allams did which deserves credit is taking the gamble in the first place, because although they’ve been able to pay themselves very healthy interest that was only really possible due to promotion, which might not have happened. Rest seems bang on to me. ...Oh and we’re in Division 3
Would only have to play Proclaimers once - remember, they don't just walk 500 miles, they then walk 500 more...
I dunno... I remember seeing Roary fight some British Army lads and looking like Jason Bourne in the process. Not easy to top.
And thus the Proclaimers Problem was born. If they both walk 500 miles and 500 more, then who is the man who walked a thousand miles to fall down at your door?
please log in to view this image I know a section of our fanbase love to refer to a quote by Assem Allam about dieing when they want, so they'll be confused and no doubt outraged that they're now saying the opposite.
