Personally think Paul Lambert has done a sensational job for Norwich. Showed a real team ethic in their promotion years and has carried it on in the Prem. Its a tough draw for us, one that Norwich have got to be huge favourites for. But we are Leicester, we lose matches that we shouldnt, and come up trumps when we shouldnt have a cat in hells chance. Wouldnt be surprised if we get thumped, lose to a dodgy refereeing decision, or win by 2 clear goals. Congrats to Norwich on yur performance so far this season - I told family Arsenal fans (they live in north London) that you were the best of the 3 promoted teams. Cant see PL underestimating us which is a shame. Just hope it is a decent game. Our concentration has to be focusing on the top 6 of the championship.
Thanks for the kind words and you are right, Paul Lambert will not underestimate the foxes one little bit. He will do what he tries to do for every other game and plan a strategy to win, as shown against Burnley in the 3rd round (no prisoners taken that day)
And how can you say that. The year we came up we had Newcastle and West Brom to deal with. Last year was anybodys and Norwich momentum seen them through. Pearson is a quality manager just like Lambert
Lambert has been our manager for over 2 1/2 seasons, and not ONE team has done a league double over us. Up until this season he also never lost 2 consecutive league games in the same season. He still has never lost 3 games running. The man is streets ahead of Pearson in every single way.
I am not saying this because he is our manager but I think you will have to go a long way to find a manager as capable as Paul Lambert. Nigel Pearson is good as is Nigel Adkins at Southampton and Brendan Rodgers at Swansea but they are not anywhere near as good. Brendan Rodgers is closest out of all the young & upcoming managers that are in the top 2 divisions but still lacks the tactical awareness to a degree.
You cant come up with a few stats and go he better end of. They are both very good managers and are on par with each other. Just because ones in the prem doesnt make him the better manager If you want to under estimate us feel free but you will get a nasty shock when we meet in the FA Cup. Sven's gone, were no ones mugs anymore
At one point last season it looked like Lambert was going to come here. When we sacked Sousa Mandaric wanted Lambert and probaly would of got him from what i heard. But the owners wanted Sven
No idea if he would have left and that really can only be speculated on. But the owners wanted Sven - Goes to show what your owners know then This is happening more and more with these Asian owners - they want big names and reputations, not always the best thing for the team or the club but it does help to massage their personal ego's with their rich Asian business buddies.
Not a hope in hell. He would and will only leave us for an established top club in the Premier League.
Funny that we said the same about Nigel first time around. We also said the same about Martin O'Neill and he went Scotland
Something that puzzles me a little in this discussion. When NP left you guys for Hull City, the foxes were near the bottom of the Championship and struggling a bit or maybe quiet a lot (am I right? I think I am). Why then is he now a quality manager for you when he clearly was not about 16 months ago?
You never would of stopped O'Neill going to Celtic. Lambert has already said he is not interested in managing in the SPL with anyone, so we don't have to worry about that one. As for Pearson leaving for Hull - no idea why he would do that, but Lambert won't leave us for a team that you could class as a sideways move. He will only move upwards.
Nigel left when we finished 5th He was here two years Won League 1 and losts in a peno shoot out in the play offs and then went Hull Paulo Sousa pissed us put big time
