I've just seen that this game will be broadcast on NBC (not cable). I can't remember the last game I got to watch on television.
I seem to recall they have Robbie Earle as a studio pundit and he speaks more sense than some I could mention.
Sorry DD, but if 'Content' warrants a capital C, then so does 'City' (as in Norwich) So I put my on and edited it
Hope it's not just me being a paranoid android, but as the injury to Max Aarons [no apostrophe ] took place on Monday, is it not of some concern that there's been no update or bulletin on the severity of it from club or country four [4] days later ?
It's not paranoid. It's bloody scary. We're going up against the best team in the league without half our defence. At full strength I'd be watching this game from behind the couch bracing for the worst. With the current injury list I fear for one of those games where they feel the need to spell the score for us!
Exactly my thoughts Cromer and given how closely the Archant triumvirate of newshounds (Connor Southwell ex TNC has replaced MB) follow the club, you'd expect some sort of update. I've got a hunch that he may well be on the bench for Saturday's game (I think I've used the apostrophe correctly!!). You're lucky being able to hide behind the couch - Dunc and I are just behind the River End goal (same row, but a few seats apart)
I'm a strong supporter of SW and the new setup but this is one 'topic' where it falls down. Even if there is no news, they could tell us that. Instead we have little idea of how long Klose will be out or whether any of Zimmerman, Handley or Aarons will be available.
Having expressed the need to be open and communicate effectively with the fan base since SW's arrival, it seems this 'topic' has hit a wall when it comes to injuries - and the fans are bound to be worried or at least curious to know how the land lies. Doubtless there'll be the usual pre-match presser later today but keep us in the loop, guys, FFS. We care.
But so do Man City. Now I can hardly imagine Citeh need to do anything more than play their own game, but Pep will also want to give specific individual instructions. So Sterling will know that Hanley (If he plays) has been turned inside out 3 times already this season allowing a better shooting position in the centre of the box. I'm sure Byram has a whole host of different strengths and weaknesses relative to Max that might be exploited. It's nice to get updates, but if there is a strategic advantage to keeping schtoom, I back the club to stay tight lipped. Bah!
