With Stieperman returning and Dowell performing well and Rupp's performances of late, suddenly the number 10 position has become a strong one and then there's still Vrancic as yet another option. Gibson's injury is a huge worry at the other end as that could well end his season. Hopefully the Giannoulis injury was concussion and he can recover over the international break. Sorensen can play at CB if needed but the run-in now looks a lot more nerve wracking now.

But the number 10 position still seems a bit of a problem in the sense that all three forwards behind Pukki tend to move into the middle and we lack width. From what everyone says, Gibson looks out for the season, which is bad news.

Lets not panic. We've dropped 2 points out of a possible 30 over the last 10 games. With the exception of Watford it looks like none of our competitors will gain ground on us as a result of todays games. The only real concern from today is the injury to Gibson. It'll be interesting to see whether Zimmermann or perhaps Sorensen can step up. We will be promoted this season, it's just a question of whether we win the league or come second.

Zimmermann will probably come in for Gibson. DF seems pessimistic about Gibson’s injury. Rhodes scores two for Sheffield Wed today.

Swans lose at home to Cardiff. Swans 23 shots only one on target 76% possession and 11 corners. Now that the way to lose a game. No penalty this time.

Something like that, though for promotion there was no damage done. Watford closed in, but the others didn't so not too bad

Highlights. We hit the bar and the post as well as their keeper making some good saves. Looks like it was one of those days. I'll make the next thread closer to Easter, onwards and upward OTBC!

Just watched that. Gallagher was all over Sorensen when he scored, could easily been disallowed. Fair play to Blackburn though, they played really well and the luck ( post and bar ) went with them.

Dowell wasn't great in the number 10 role but still ended up with an assist.

Blackburn deserved something from the game they have only won 1 game in their last 12 and weren't going to just turn up and marvel at the Champions elect.

I thought Dowell had a good game until he tired. Buendia was WhoScored's MotM with a rating of 7.7, but Dowell was second highest on 7.4. I'm really encouraged by his performances.
