I will eagerly wait for the highlights on YT - gutted I missed it - no excuses Could be worse, could have been a 'Pool fan and miss 7 goals
Great win, great result. Still look very shaky defending set pieces, but then Gibson is injured and that Morrison is monstrous sized.
This puts tremendous pressure on the chasing pack, especially Watford and Brentford, who I personally see as the only likely challengers to ourselves and Bournemouth. The end of the exhausting nine games in three weeks and we have won seven, drawn one, and lost one, even with the worst injury crisis in living memory. I think I have to go out and buy another bottle of wine. So much for my vow of (relative) sobriety.
Shout out for McGovern as well. A superb save to keep that monstrous header out. That would have given the game a very different shine.
Totally agree, but our third highest scoring player after the goalscorers on WhoScored was McLean with 7.6 points for a great all round performance.
