Here we are, game three of the Premiership season and the games don't come any easier for Norwich as they face the foxes. Can the Canary outfox the fox? Two ex Norwich players play for the opposition today, James Maddison and two season Canary loanee Ryan Bertrand and none of the Canary first team have played for the Foxes. Daniel Farke has some interesting choices to make, with the cup drubbing of Bournemouth putting some interesting selection pressures on the coach. I just wish all the decisions weren't all strikers or nurturing our winger collection CB and DM please Mr Webber! The two clubs first played in the FA Cup in 1913 Norwich winning 4-1 and overall it's quite even with Norwich winning 22, drawing 13 and losing 23.The most recent home match Norwich won 1-0 Here are the highlights from that game:
Stealing from @SuffolkCanary post in another thread: Injury update is as follows: Mumba will be sidelined until after the internation break with a dislocated knee cap - ouch, after jarring my knee really badly as a child and at another time being smashed on it by a cricket ball that must have hurt no end! Placheta still missing, Tzolis is a doubt with a calf problem, Sargent should be available but has had a minor glute problem - common noobies you're young you'll be fine! I have also invited Leicester fans to join us on the thread
Let's hope those slight injuries to Tzolis and Sargent are just convenient. We seem so prone to injuries, often not even incurred during a game. If they are convenient, it makes sense. It takes pressure off those players, Farke himself, and, most importantly, Pukki. Already on the PinkUn board, a 'Pukki's past it' group seems to be emerging. Ingrates. (I often lurk on PinkUn, but never post - I am not 'Maltese Canary'.) I'm predicting a very similar line-up to the Man City game, although McLean seems a shoo-in to replace someone, probably Rupp. Dave Freezer wrote a eulogy to McLean on the PinkUn a couple of days ago, and those guys generally know which way the wind is blowing. Today's starting line-up is a tough call for Farke, but that's what he's paid for, I guess.
Well I ended up adding Canaries and changed it so people can change their votes so the Cherries can become Canaries If anybody's interested Bournemouth are away to Hull and Reading away to Huddersfield
There will be NO GOOD FEELINGS expressed prior to matches, bloody hell Rob keep it to yourself next time . We are on loss number 12 on the spin the second worst in EPL history chasing Sunderland on 20
Just on my way to the game and looking forward to being back inside Carrow Road. The last game I was at was ironically the 1-0 win over Leicester before our atrocious run to the end of the season and relegation. I would take a draw today and an entertaining game.
For me team today: Krul, Aarons, Gibson, Hanley, Williams, Lees-Melou, McLean, Dowell, Rachica, Tzolis, Sargent.
No, no. You should take a leaf from the advice issued for what to do in the event that an atom bomb falls close by in a nuclear war: "Stay still, don't move; another won't be dropped in the same place".
Wilbraham even got one . I used to love Earnshaw if we had a decent defence when he was with us we could have gone up on his goals
