Like a dive these Southampton players, that’s seven appeals already after launching themselves towards Australia

Our problem is midfield, isn't it? Give him chances and Pukki will score. The central defenders aren't making that many mistakes - the pressure on them is generally coming from mistakes in midfield or the right/left backs. But we can't seem to sort out midfield at all.

This is kinda painful to watch, can't keep the ball, or pass it, and when we do get the ball we're either hoofing it up, or passing it back.

Fabulous defending by Brandon Williams. Krul gets the credit for the save, but it’s Williams’ determined and decisive call to Gibson that saved us there.

Krul saved Hanley from a poor mistake, thankfully.

If we can fluke something out of this game, then Smith has a week to try to start to sort things out.

Tod playing well other than dribbling out which nearly resulted in a goal

We are in the Premier League, it happens. Southampton are pressing high because they know that’s what causes problems.

The commentators are saying “all Saints”, but equally you could say we are rolling with the punches. They won’t keep it up second half.

And for all their dominance they’ve only really created one big chance around 42 mins - their goal was a fantastic finish from a difficult chance. We’ve had as many good opportunities and there has been some dodgy refereeing.

Yep, we're in the PL, so even more important to cut out those silly mistakes. Against a better team, that would have been a goal.

Not a lot of options from the bench to fix that... Rupp or Lees-Melou doesn't fill me with massive amounts of confidence.

Agreed. But I think we are looking more solid - one poor mistake from Hanley and he was a bit weak for their goal too. I think that’s all, we’ve otherwise not looked like conceding. That’s better than usual!

There has been way more effort to put bodies in front of shots than the usual lacklustre soft goals which is what wins you games Williams especially

BBC Radio Norfolk comment both Gilmour and Cantwell look like they aren’t match fit.
