I wouldn't be surprised if the bigwigs at the EPL sat all the players down in the bottom 3 places and told them, we have already decided that you are getting relegated just go through the motions and let in a few goals and you can pick up your brown envelopes with money in when it's all over . Villa Bournemouth and Norwich all played like they are already down. No heart desire or even effort on display, apart from the FA cup heartbreak we have been absolutely ****e in every area .
We had accepted relegation sometime ago - the fake anguish and crocodile tears at the end of today’s game don’t cut it with me. Poor display on the pitch during the game and sadly at the end with the “woe is us” posturing.
I honestly fear that Webber will have had enough after the last few no-shows. We'll be in a right muddle if he moves on as he's almost single-handedly kept us afloat with just pocket money forthcoming from our board of directors. And who could blame him, he's done more than enough to alert suitors, both home and abroad. He's wasting his time here.
He also remarked that DF must be confident that he'd said everything necessary pre-match (i.e.on the training ground and in match briefings). Isn't that basically how DF works, and why he seldom makes substitutions before the final minutes?
