Zimmers owes Krul a drink tonight.

Forget that, VAR had other ideas.

Radio Norfolk claims that penalty was retaken as there were some City players in the penalty area when the first penalty was taken by Arsenal. If this is the case then whoever these players were deserve to have their ears bent at half time. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot..........

That is what the BBC text on the website says too. Max I think, but then they said that when Arsenal did score that they had a player encroaching too :S

Does the VAR check apply to ALL penaltys, or only to "lesser teams" against the "big teams" ?

Max Aarons, he was the one to clear the ball after Tim kept it out - and yes, Max was inside the box before the kick, but only just (one foot still outside the penalty box). Split-second timing makes it harsh but in the laws of the game

But has he touched the ground in the area? Not for me, if you're not allowed any part of the body across the line then they all started inside with half the gooners.
Even on the retake, we appeared not to learn, Argos was 3 feet in off the 2nd one in succession!
Big team would not have fallen foul of that decision.

    Bah!

Like the resilience we showed after conceding the unnecessary penalty. We're playing the way we did against ManCity and Everton, getting the ball forward quickly and not allowing their defence to set. Great stuff.

Just have to get a 92nd-minute winner then - leave them no time to claw it back again
