Normally linked to a few players by now haven't heard anything, a little worrying tbh. January TW never a great one but thought Arris would have a few contacts up his sleeve.
Clearly we need to lose players likes Connelly, Murphy, Patterson , Coxe off the wage bill to free up some money but what about Bobby Reid can we sell him to Fulham or to another team? Or dare I say it ,bring him back to the CCS to partner Bobby Glatz who is struggling big time.

we will get someone no doubts about that>>>>probably wouldn't make us dribble with excitement though.

Connolly injured. No one will take him until fit and then free or loan due to age and recent lack of football.

Murphy, probably right. Get £5m and cut losses?

Paterson - can play several positions. Versatility useful. Keep for now.

Coxe - could go on loan but not being paid much in comparison to others.

Bogle will go if someone wants him.

Etheridge - the major pot of gold if West Ham bite.

    Vassell injured - see Connolly

    Linked with: -

    Moore
    Gregory
2 young midfielders from Coventry and Shrewsbury
    Young fill back from Colchester

Not half way through window, plenty of time yet

As long as they’re better than the likes of Jamie Ward, Oumar Niasse and Liam Feeney <doh>

OS has just posted a potential link with a french left back. Ok fair enough but what’s needed is someone now to improve the midfield and up front<doh>

Connelly is conning a living out of us literally, somebody says he's making the tea for the squad on training days OMFG if this is true !
I'm sure the last game I saw him play in was at Ninian Park under DJ correct me if I'm wrong.
There's all sorts of debates on here what we need, so gonna just say a creative midfielder who can score goals , and a striker again who can score bloody goals

McKay signing I think - never played at Ninian. In fairness to Connolly, he’s been a decent enough servant for us and if anything a victim of his versatility and later on his injuries. We even had the chance to sell him to Hull but pulled out at the last minute to keep him for cover. Think his contracts up at the end of the season.

I think he played just the once last season in the FACup defeat at Gillingham.
Decent footballer who’s career lately has been ruined by injury.

Harsh Hillts. It doesn’t take a blind man to see that there is absolutely nothing between our defence and strikers. Glatzel is often alone with nowt around him and the only service he gets is from Tomlin. Replacing him won’t solve the problem - how Harris isn’t prioritising the midfield is beyond me.

I think that Glatzel will actually turn out to be a rare case of Warnock spending money well. He’s still only 25 and I think that his link up play and touches are good - if only he had possession based players around him. True he’s not the poacher that we needed on Sunday but his goals at Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday prove that he is growing into this Championship season <ok>

Look i hope im proved wrong here but Glatzel looks near useless to me. He cant head the ball. He cant hold the ball and bring others into play his touch is average if you are being nice, his shooting is laughable and he has no real pace.

    Apart from that hes promising.

Sadly i predict 2 years of loan deals this summer before being released on a free transfer.

If anyone offered any sort of deal id take it cut our losses yet again and bring someone else in.

To be fair he tries. He just doesn't look anywhere near the standard required. He made those two Swansea kids look good. Patterson completely bullied them when he came on and hes not even a striker.

We need to add pace , creativity and get in 2 strikers.

Id look to get rid of all the strikers. If Ward could stay fit id keep him as cover but hes always getting injured.

Murphy just isnt consistent sell and reinvest. Get rid of Jazz as well and get a pacey right back.

CM alongside Ralls and Tomlin. Surely we can get a striker from somewhere who isnt a disaster.

Yes, our record in signing strikers is appalling. Not a decent one since the days of Chopra, McCormack and Bothroyd. Apart from Kenwynne Jones who got 11 in our first season back in the Championship no one has reached double figures.

However when did we last play a style of football which gave any real encouragement to strikers?

Our possession has been awful, we don't get forward, with the ball, quickly enough and our main threat has come from set pieces. It could be argued that Aguerro would struggle to get double figures in this team. We simply don't get the ball I to threatening positions often enough.

There are no short term solutions. We can only rebuild while keeping enough battle hardened players to ensure we keep our place in the Championship.

Then is Harris the man to carry out the rebuild? I doubt it.
