Right then chaps and chapesses. A few of us have decided to have a trip up to the seaside to catch a Scarborough game with CityFiley, and we’re going to go to their home match against Marine on 17th Nov because City have no game that day (International break but England play day after) I think everyone will agree that Filey is, despite his health challenges, the most positive person on this site. So I thought taking a few of you miserable sods to see him might mean some of his positivity might rub off...you never know it might even make me get positive enough to predict a draw on one MDT! So here’s the plan Train out of Hull at 1130hrs (after brunch in Admiral if anyone is hungry...or thirsty!) £16.10 return ticket Get to Scarbs at 1254hrs Light (and predominantly liquid) lunch Pay on gate into Scarborough Athletic v Marine 1500hrs Formal debrief of the game in a suitable licensed premise Train back after at 2024hrs Arrive back in Hull at 2144hrs Probably be thirsty by then so maybe have a pint? There’s already me, Askewshair, Fer Ark and Sir Cheshire Ben going, and it would be great if others wanted to join us. If you do just book your ticket and let us know on here and we can meet in pub or on the train. Should be a good day out, everyone is welcome. If the times don’t suit you then all the tickets on that train line are open ones anyway so you could get there later and / or leave earlier if needed. If there’s two of you then book them together as it is slightly cheaper than the figure above Dennis Travel Ltd “Taking drunks to drink for over 30 years”
Will you be performing your jokes that evening in front of a audience of none? Your reflection in the mirror doesn't count.
If I’d thought of that I wouldn’t have bothered with the train...you could have driven! Be great to see non drinkers there too
By the way I should have said that Filey is aware of this I discussed it with him a few weeks ago to see if he was up for a mass visit! He was
