It's really sad to hear of the passing of both Ray Clemence and Des O'Connor, both top drawer in their respective professions. RIP.

    Maurice Setters.
No 2 to Jack Charlton at Sheffield Wednesday and Rep of Ireland.
He was a bit like Peter Taylor to Brian Clough.

Patrick Quinn, the co-creator of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, has died at the age of 37

Patrick Quinn, who helped launch the viral challenge in 2014 with Peter Frakes and Anthony Senerchia, passed away on Sunday from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a motor neuron disease also known as ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease. Amazing player, but a flawed genius.

Coincidentally watched the Kapadia film about him the other day - he was providing for his entire family from the age of 15. Quite a responsibility for a street kid.

The last contentious thread on here involved a certain Peter Sutcliffe....Maybe the 'mods' should show a similar outcome?

Another great bites the dust in 2020. A genius on the pitch, a liability, destructive off it...but what a player.

    RIP Maradona

    Brilliant footballer.
He came across in a recent tv documentary as a nice guy, who was used as a cash cow, by his club (Napoli) and the local mafia.
    RIP Maradona.
