Not another loan thread about how little the lads on loan are doing...

Apparently yesterday the club filed documentation on a new loan secured from Barclays - amount not stated. This is being secured against the years TV money and next season guaranteed money, even in the event of relegation.

Considering Mikey's point of pride is saying we are self sufficient and not in debt to anyone its a bit of a strange one. Why do we need a loan if we are self sufficient, what is it going towards?

    Anyone any thoughts?

We are being used as his cash cow. Where or what was the loan for?

As per the mags article I'd hazard a guess that is some convoluted way for Mike to get more cash out of the club but as with anything Ashley does I don't think anyone will know the true reason until it's to late.

Despite your diet you’ve clearly still got fat finger syndrome when typing..”banker” <laugh>

Mike has released his tight grip on the reins. His was always a long term vision.

Or he’s converting his loan into Bank loans to release “his” money.

Pouchy 2.0 - the Ashley Fan.

Kieran Maguire thinks it's just the norm now, but it never has been under Mike until now, There are signs that we're "normalising" as a football club.

Apparently it just what most of the PL clubs do and is essentially a loan facility to allow them to spread the TV income evenly over the season as this is not paid up front but in installments.
If he wanted to repay his loan he would just take that direct from TV money when it came in. Cant imagine he needs it back that urgently. Certainly suggests he doesnt want to do anymore short term cash loans though.
