They look good at the minute, gonna be a tough game Luckily we have a nice cushion we can survive one or two defeats on the trot Reckon going at them is our best chance considering we have like 1 defender and he's a striker
If we were at full strength I think we might have done OK, but with the injuries we've got I think we need to go 5 at the back and hit on the counter. Aim for goal difference
Absolutey **** off with your damage limitation. Just go out and try and compete. Damage limitation will be a defeat and no goals. I’d sooner we take a chance on getting a couple and get beat than just sit and get beat. Let the players enjoy themselves for ****s sake, I’m so sick of 7+ years of **** football.
The only chance we have for the next 2 a hard fought point... If we go after Chelsea and man united they'll pick us off and we'll get hammered.. If we'd not lost 3 of our best players maybe worth having a go, but we're in serious trouble now with 3 of our very best players missing. Get a points or 2 and then go after Wolves and West brom would be wise I feel
I agree really, I think we have more than proven that we are best going at teams and using our pace and striking abilities. Just ****ing go for it and make them work for their win. Tuchel is a nerd, he'll break us down.
Both sides have decent attacks but average defence. Just have a go, have some fun. You sneak a win in the whole club is rocking; we’ve so much daylight from relegation we might as well. Lot relies on picking the right players mind; no point if we’ve got lazy **** like Shelvey and Joe in the side.
Chelsea would want us to open up.. I think we hit them on the counter in this one personally, but we're getting beat either way.
All I meant was you come off the back of winning with 9 men, you’ve got to build it up and feel invincible. If we go at Chelsea, they won’t like it, they are still a bit ponderous and want to play a patient game. If we sneak a wildly unlikely point or victory they’ll be well up for ManU.
They don't seem to play that way. In a deeply uninspiring Premier League, they're just about 5th having spent £250m. No idea where Havertz is and many fans are still looking for Werner, even though his names on the team sheet. The likes of James and Mount are carrying them, they're not - in my mind - to be feared or given too much respect. Yes, don't head into the game thinking you're going to turn them over and act al gung ho, but equally don't just sit there and wait. Rafa could probs get a 0-0 out of this, which would bore the **** out of everyone, but Bruce has shown time and again that HIS version of sitting back just results in conceding 2 or 3 anyway. Might as well press, let the back four sit a bit deeper - I'd even consider Dummett LB for this one instead - protected by Hayden, with the other 5 allowed to get it forward. It'll be the diamond again, I reckon; it's just who plays alongside Willock. Suspect it'll be Shelvey, sadly, with Almiron, Max and Fraser front three.
