For the past three months I've gone over 2MB on my internet and T Mobile have charged me £15 for 2MB!!! How do phone companies get away with such ludicrous charges. Anyone else had similar problems?
I get 6 months unlimited internet for £20 as an add-on with T-Mobile PAYG, they stop you streaming media for the remainder of the month with it of you go over 1GB in that month though
I'm with Three and can easily use up to 100gb a month. It's reported that they start taking notice at about 1TB a month usage so I'm doing fine
We used an iPhone satnav for the three hour drive to Zalina yesterday and then again to get back to Poland this morning. I'm glad it wasn't my phone.
my recent story with Orange goes like this . . i bought me son a mobile & contract (upgrade from a BB) i specifically asked for 250mb data per month (march2012) fast forward 2 years and i checked my bill and instead of being constantly charged approx £15.50 , i'd been routinely charged £33 Now the first guy on the phone said , oh yeah he's not being doing too bad , just going over his Data allowance by 3-7mb each month !!!!! Then the kicker . . . . for those two years they hadn't added a data tarriff - so rather than him 3-7mb over his 250mb , he was literally using 3-7mb per month !!!! (he doesnt use mobile data often as he has wifi at his digs/uni/work .) after a couple of weeks arguing my case calling out Orange for 1.fair useage 2.fair charges 3.not warning a customer the fees/charges/fines are at approx £18p/month i was offered only 3 months of refund charges - down to me not notifying them for two yrs . **** you orange ! Turns out orange added my data on the date i took out the contract and immediately removed it - they told me as much tho the only recorded information i have at hand is me signing a contract which says its a no data plan annoyingly the data package was asked for afterwards as they told me to swap the BB bundle for a £5 data bundle that was my word versus theirs , though my point that the Company should show due care and fairness to customers with a warning of recurring charges fell on deaf ears ! Morale of the story is to always check and understand ur bank balance , i never really bother as i expect my Direct Debits to be correct :/ i estimate it cost me £400+ in fees the best Orange could do was offer me three months refund
Yeah, I'm with Karoo on a 100gb package but the wife and kids blow that with their xbox and streaming stuff. I use my phone for everything else. I download TV series and films and stuff.
My phone/broadband is from Axis Telecom (in Hull). Unlimited b/band; free local/national calls at any time and any duration. Apparently KC don't allow it in Hull? [EDIT: That's landline]
I pay £31 a month for Unlimited Texts, 600 Minutes and 1GB data. I was shocked that my past few bills was hitting near the dizzying heights of £50, I don't know how they can warrant £15 charges on 2MB, you can use 1MB from an email! Shouldn't be allowed to get away with charges like that, I go to Cyprus next month so I'll remember to leave my phone turned off
They don't disallow any line based providers to rent their lines, they just price it so it isn't cost effective for anyone. The only wat someone could compete is to install their own lines, like one company did with fibre.
I'm not a big user of mobile phones but I get 200 mins, 500 texts & 500Mb Data (which I never use up) for £10 a month on TMobile PAYG Now my work phone is another matter but I never see or have to pay that bill
I have friends who live much of the year in Portugal and have an ex-pat TV/Broadband/phone package. They get all the UK freeview channels(in fact, all UK channels, other than Sky Sports/Movies/FilmFour), wifi with unlimited downloads and free phone calls to anywhere in the world after 8.00pm. It's €24 a month. I'm not sure what it normally costs here, as I have the full Sky Package, FilmFour, Hindu TV, Japanese Military Marching Band Channel and all the porn channels(other than the one's with kids and animals), but that seems like decent value to me.
I would rather us re-nationalise & re-open the UK coal mines, very high quality clean coal & 200 years of fuel self sufficiency without the need to contaminate the water supplies by fracking, there are also hundreds of other by products you can use from coal....even plastic...unlike Gas
And gas, electricity, water, railways, NHS, etc...... (But we also would need carbon removal technology)
I know, i've got them, but they don't have Sky Sports/Movies, they have everything else, along with phone/broadband, it's that package that I have no idea of the value of, but theirs sounded cheap to me.
