Just got a text from a mate who saw him in Dundee chippy. He had a good day by the sound of it. Won an Elvis mirror, one of those dog leads with the invisible dog and an Average White Band LP. Standard.
He's just been spotted in the Avenues Pub now. Pint of Stella and a vodka chaser. He reckons that the hoops are too small for the boxes and that the sights on the air-rifles are ****ed. He said he saw a bearded lady and it reminded him of home.
Hull Fair - a short name which makes it better for marketing the event globally. It's all over the news in Oz
Maybe so, but I can also imagine him wearing that jacket at home too. Sat in a chair in his living room watching ITV - hands in pockets, jacket zipped up to top with chin buried into it.
It seems like he's properly getting into Hull. He'll be snapped in Jack Fulton's next buying some ****e at 5 for a pound.
I feel quite sad for Leonid to be honest. He cuts a lonely figure wandering around the city on his own. Like someone said we need to invite him out for a pint and find out what he's all about. It can't be much fun being away from home and I don't know if his family is with him,I presume not. Where is he living? anyone know?
Doesn't Dundee chippy close for Hull fair week. Russ always said Hull fair week was more hassle then it was worth.
Rumbled, I knew I had pushed it too far. I agree with Black and Ambler Gambler though (great name by the way), Leonid does cut a lonely figure. No backroom staff with him, abandoned by the Allams, his mate Roman too far away for a pint. Someone needs to get him out on the lash. Just look at his moves and his chanting.... He is quality!!!!!
