    ...tu.

Skysports.com understands Rangers are hoping to sign Bolton defender Danny ****tu.

****tu has been linked with a number of clubs during this month's transfer window with the big defender well down the pecking order at the Reebok Stadium.

Turkish side Trabzonspor are thought to be trying to lure ****tu away from England, while some German clubs are also monitoring the Nigerian's situation.

Rangers could now make a late bid to land the former Watford stopper as Walter Smith looks to bolster his squad before the transfer window slams shut on Monday.

Smith has money to spend after offloading Pedro Mendes and Jerome Rothen and he is thought to be lining up a bid for ****tu to bolster his defence.

Good big dirty player. SPL type player. Would be a calamity in that Celtic defense but Walter would keep him doing what he's good at. Battering people and getting rid of the ball. Be a really good signing.

If alongside Bougherra or Wilson then fair enough but I cant see this working alongside Davie Weir. Long term it could work if next season our defence is going to be Webster and Wilson with ****tu as back up as I think Bougherra will be sold after the world cup.

Rangers will be bought in the summer, once the bank pocket the CL cash and the rest of the prize money for Second place you'll get 60p to the £1 for what debt is left.
