I've listened to a few of Rene's interviews and the more I hear, I get a sense of him being a little pissed off that Mike Phelan got a call from Ole while he didn't.
I sense no bitterness either, just a twinge of regret. Personally, having read and heard about his impact on the squad I'm surprised he wasn't called in.
He won't though, because we had some shots in the second half and their goalie made some saves and we tried hard and never gave up and all that. We even hit the bar.
Well they won't sack him either so basically fcked. Underestimating the game in Turkey when we needed a point. Keeping Fred on when everyone and his wife knew he was going to get sent off. Bottling today's game. He is simply not good enough.
So much anti - Ole sentiment at the moment. Simple question - if not him, then who and why? What makes X, Y or Z a better (prospective) manager than Ole. Keeping the discussion to practical, attainable alternatives if possible..............
There's about six threads all spouting the same venom. I thought to consolidate the debate into one thread. Sorry.
It's not venom. You can defend Ole based on what you saw tonight? This isn't consolidating the other threads, it's adding a 7th lol.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær has lost six of his 10 Champions League matches as a manager (W4); he is the first manager to lose six or more times in their first 10 games in the competition while in charge of an English side. Manchester United have conceded three or more goals in consecutive Champions League games for the first time since April 2003. United exited at the group stage in a Champions League campaign for the first time since 2015-16 under Louis van Gaal.
This thread should be closed! There’s enough debate on this topic. We know where we stand as a team. Meaning, you never know what gets served up based on Ole’s setup. It has become a laughing stock.
Fat Sam's always thought he deserved a big job. Fergie and him had the occasional bum back in the day too. Also been England manager that time for a few hours remember
