Whilst John Prescott may have been an MP in Hull he is not originally from there. He was born in Prestatyn in North Wales
So is anyone from Hull? Or will anyone admit it? I've never been there, been to Grimsby though and that was a surprise, triffic place, triffic fish and chips as well, Jesus, I'd die for a decent plate of fish and chips right now.
The singers from The Fine Young Cannibals and The Beautiful South were from Hull, as was our own Nick Barmby.
Football. Well at least the man that wrote the laws of the Football Association version that got adopted the world over. Ebeneezer Cobb Morley. Mind you, he's dead too, so can we have John Alderton from Please Sir?. I think he's still kicking.
John Alderton moved to North London despite being created elsewhere. Too similar to Arsenal, I'm afraid.

Bobby Hull was one of the great ice hockey players. He had the record for fastest shot for a while, I seem to recall. 'Ull or Ull is the Norse god of winter, enjoys skiing, hunting and keeping Skade warm, since she ditched her husband for him.
Don't talk ****e ...... he's from Liverpool and supports Sheffield United Fatboy Slim isn't from Hull and only spent a very brief time there as Paul Heaton's boyfriend. Andrew Motion isn't from Hull and neither is Lene Lovitch, she was born in Detroit ffs. Not surprisingly they all moved away from Hull as soon as they could and none live there now. To be totally fair, being president of the Tigers supporters club, Tom Courtney does have two homes .......... although neither is in Hull
I've been through Hull, didn't stop. It looked dull and grey, like so many Northern cities. There's not much to live for up North, so those Hull boys should really give this a go. Oh, and I know he was Australian, but it would have been nice if Rod Hull had been from Hull. We'd have none of this "Hull Tigers" bollocks; they would have been known as "the Emus!"
