I have just read this and it's effing incredible (if true). Very very sad. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/apr/15/bradford-fire-stafford-heginbotham-martin-fletcher
Let's hope there is a full investigation, and if guilty, sent down for life BUT - it does say, in the article, that he 'believes' it was started on purpose, with not a lot to back it up other than circumstantial evidence
Indeed, though the pattern of getting out of jail with fire was incredible - eight businesses? That's too many. One life? Far too many...
I've seen footage on a Fire course. There is an awful scene of a man slowly walking out from the flames on fire because his nerve endings have been burnt to nothing, and someone dives on him with a blanket as I recall. With regards to my kids, fires and cars are what I worry about most with regards to their safety.
I saw the footage on a fire course as well, I remember there's a man and child sat towards the back, who seem to take an age to move. They just about get on to the pitch, but 10 seconds longer and they'd never have made it. Frightening the speed at which it propagated.
