    The ESPN goals app is free today supposedly on all smart phones. It is definitely available on the iPhone as I downloaded it myself. It says that goals are available almost straight away (except 3pm Saturday kick offs when they are on about 5.15). I thought I would give you all a heads up while it is free. <ok>

    One of my mates has got this, he paid £20 for the season which is quite good and you do get to see the goals and chances minutes after.

    Cheers, great tip! Downloading it now for Android (it was free btw).

    How did they get the rights to show all the goals though?

    They pay for the rights on mobile devices. It normally costs £30 for a full season but it is free for this season.

    When I try to open it it says there's a problem and it has to close, is that just because you can only go on after games?

    While I am pointing out free apps there is another called 'Fixtures 2011 - 2012' which imports fixtures into your calendar automatically and updates it when there are fixture changes. Quite useful I would have thought. <ok> This is on my iPhone so apologies if there are problems with it and/or it is not available on other phones.

    Got it, seems alright. Just hope I get a chance to use it as I seem to have a knack of getting a completely **** signal and 3G connection wherever I am.

    On blackberry what does it come up as, all I get is 101 ESPN or ESPN 107.9 FM

    another good one for android (not sure if it's on any other) is Newcastle United unofficial covers everything from rumours/blogs/fixtures/news etc.
