There are 3 for me… scots- not the nationalists.. the normal ones poles- hard as nails and can drink well. Oh and 303 squadron on WW2 was the best of the best of the few. Turks- just lovely ****ing people.
I thought you’d worked in all countries, JD? If you don’t could you just mention one or two “nice” countries you don’t work in? Asking for a friend….
The Dutch. Such a great country. Worked out there for a while and then in other countries on behalf of a Dutch company. They are the best people. Their directness flies in the face of people in this country but I love it. You know where you stand. Mauritius. You'll never encounter friendlier people than them. Went there on my honeymoon and going back again.
I've noticed over the years Scots think they're really, really hard just because they were born in Scotland. Like being born in the geographical area we have decided to call Scotland somehow makes Johnathan from Aberdeen hard as nails and capable of knocking out absolutely anyone who even looks at him funny. The same people who bitch, whine and complain constantly about how cruel life has been for them and their country. Just food for thought like.
On that note, best experiences with other nationalities: Norwegians, Swedes Irish, The Dutch, Poles, Pakistanis, Ones I dislike from experience: Scots, Danish, Germans, French. I don't tar everyone with the same brush, but I hate how we pretend people who come from the same countries don't act extremely similar. Danes, Germans, French are some of the most arrogant and rude people I've ever met. Jocks I have no time for really; I'm sure there are plenty who are lovely but I've yet to meet them. They're absolutely obsessed with where they're from, how they talk, who they are, and how hard it makes them. Just have no time for their like 1800s mentality.
