Indeed, but they have for the past few weeks, so no complaints. It is still in our hands and our main rivals have to continually better our results (including our games with them - so they must win) if they want to catch us. Still nervous, but starting to believe
I would like just a little more of a lead with the games coming up... BUT... it is still totally in our hands.......
We need at least a couple more wins.... and the Luton game becomes important... and they won away today! This feels like last season end in reverse.................................
Some markers put down today. Could be a very exciting end to the season rather than a mundane promotion
Apparently both Swansea and Brentford changed formations like we did after a bad run . Let's hope it's too late !
Swansea's game in hand at Sheff Wed kicks off at 6:00pm this evening. Here's hoping Sheffield don't suffer a hangover from their weekend beating at QPR. A similar result to the reverse fixture would be acceptable - a 1-1 draw.
Be typical of us to win 3 games but lose to Brentford so not get 2nd! If that is possible... That game in hand makes a real difference. Means rather than 9 points there is potentially a one game swing which can go their way.
Brentford plays Rotherham in the midweek before we play them. Because of Rotherham's fixture congestion they are, I believe playing Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday this week, and then as with everyone else they have a midweek game next week. Rotherham will be so fatigued by the time they play Brentford, it could be another Norwich - Huddersfield scoreline.
Tom Lee's giving payback for us forcing that own goal. Got knocked off the ball like a feather by Ayew and basically have the goal away.
They wound still be 7 points behind on the same number of games at least. 7 points with 15 to play for. Plus still be probably be behind us and Brentford going into the last week of the season .
GOAL: Sheffield Wednesday 0-2 Swansea City Jay Fulton (73 mins) And they don't have to wait too long to make it 2-0..... Jay Fulton heads the Swans further ahead after Connor Roberts' fine cross from the left meets his run into the area. Swansea looking good to climb up to third now.
