The Red Bull didn't look right in white. I didn't know they'd changed it.

Good entertaining fight tbf, a rarity in boxing. Right man definitely won, glad it didn't go to the (all American!) judges.

Sounds like a right dust up by all accounts.

Fury sounds like he hammered wilder but almost got.done by the power a few times.

Definitely hammered him, Wilder looked dead on his feet from round 5, it was just a matter of time.

Wilder spent the entire fight looking for that big right hand but it's such a big back swing Fury telegraphed them all night.

Fury went down twice in the space of 30secs (wasn't a big haymaker) but didn't look serious hurt.

Christ croft is a ****ing moron. He's spent most of the race spanking himself off about Hamilton utterly convinced he was going to either sale through the field, stay out and see a dry line and win (ignoring everyone saying half the track was soaking) then he'd come in and get wet tyres cos it'd rain and no matter what Hamilton was this and that. How Button put up with him I don't know.

Croft managed to give Hamilton the wrong final position called it 6th and then managed to say verstappen extended his lead over Hamilton despite hamilton leading going into the race,.

He seem utterly incapable of taking info on board and needs to see something done before even calling it. Most of the time screaming about someone who's no where near passing and then fails to see people actually fling by.

Anyway Hamilton again acted the batch which is very frustrating. He would be 3rd if he listened to team initially. If he stayed out his pace was very poor and sliding out. And it'd be down to perez and le clerc to pass but it looked clear they could.

He then preceeded to batch and moan and throw blame as per.

His team must put up with an awful lot at times to get the rewards.

    boring enough race tbh.

I thought would have been better sticking tbh; track position > pace

Not sure tbh. It's marginal as he was sliding all over the place at points and he very quietly gave up once the team told him it was last chance to change. I took that as he was thinking he made the wrong call himself.

Once perez did for le clerc he drove off down the track then settled. Would he have settled if he had a Hamilton ripe for the plucking just slithering about losing seconds?

I'm thinking it's 4th v 5th kind of debate not 3rd v 5th. I think if he came in when first offered he would have been 4th min and probably 3rd.

However it's mostly croft doing my head in all race. He never mentioned bott, only referred to verstappen in relation to Hamilton and salivate over every radio mention about verstappens car being in trouble.

I thought Button was quite good really knowledgeable and communicated it well but must have the patience of asking sitting next to croft for 3hours ignoring what he's telling the guy.

He hardly mentioned sainz racing bar in context of Hamilton charging up the field and never mentioned the other British drivers either.

    Watched f1 after our game.

Not a great race tbh. Not enough good action in the field cos it seemed too hard to pass.

Hamilton v verstappen held the attention but the single biggest thing was lapping cars were a disgrace. Hamilton prob took 4 seconds out of verstappen twice due to back markers but in the end the minute hamilton got to the back of verstappen he hit a brick wall. Couldnt get within drs and couldnt as a result get close enough to exploit what was a faster car.

The turbulence off following anyone, back markers included was such that cars just washed out.

    Dull.

Hamilton needs a win in Mexico or he is looking at a big problem

    Races are now running out.

    Mexico
    Brazil
    Qatar
    Saudi
    Abu dhabi

Horrid oil state rubbish at the end here. Esp saudi.

Verstappen has a 12point lead. two more wins and hamilton has to win the rest plus not see max in 2nd in one race.

Any slip by either now hands the other a huge advantage.

Mexico with the thin air will be interesting cos hamilton is reliant on engine power.

I only got back into F1 this season, stopped watching it about 20yrs prior (obviously heard bits and bobs still). Been watching F1; Drive to Survive to get a bit more background. Actually quite a good watch imo

It's not a bad show right enough.

In the end f1 is now too dependant of too few companies and has serious issue to address.

Covid nearly saved it tbh. Bringing the show to non briefest artificial tracks designed by the one moron helped but the cars have gone so far from racing it's more like an endurance and hyper miler sport at times.

Qualifying wasn't the most exciting. Max getting third would have been a good result (because of the massive tow) if it wasn't two Mercedes on the front, suspect they'll try and stay side by side blocking overtake attempts before ther first corner.

I suspect that the cat is amongst the pigeons now and anything could happen.

The first corner run is dangerous here too so it's going to be fun.
