Yes Aussies and England the big favorites generally.

    Along with the Kiwis.

Be a lot of one sided games which I am not sure is good in terms of the sports appeal to the general public.

This Aussie team is 'inexperienced' in that more than half of them are uncapped - so they're not favourites (NZ and Tonga tipped for the final) but are far too good for Scotland.

    40-0 after 36 minutes.

    Final score 84-0 <yikes>

Would have been worse if it hadn't been pouring with rain.

And England have lost! Not quite as bad as when they lost to the Netherlands, but still....

Not bad at cricket the Irish - I can remember when they bowled the Windies out for 23...

Watching the Wales v PNG Rugby League WC match - had to chuckle at the pre-match comments from the pundits, tipping Wales to win and questioning whether PNG could play in a wet midweek match in Doncaster.

    HT - Wales 0 PNG 24.

Another big win for Australia - 48-4 against Lebanon, with winger Josh Addo-Carr scoring five tries.
Now face either New Zealand or Fiji in the semi final.

Been moderately busy today, so couldn’t post this earlier. If you have the chance to see the France NZ ladies’ rugby World Cup semi-final, do give it a go. It was a cracking game, so if you can go into the game without knowing the score, do so. :)

New Zealand v Fiji quarter final is a bit rugged, with a little skill injected. Fiji leading 12-6 at half time but it could go either way.

Final score 24-18 to NZ. A bruising second half, edge of seat stuff until the final minutes. Fiji played really well but just fell short.

Should be an interesting semi final against Australia - am still tipping the Aussies though.

Yes - saw near the end when Fiji had a chance to get a try but messed up in one of the tackles.
