Would have loved him to have stayed with us. Not a chance though. I don't remember him scoring any average goals here either.

One thing to thank Derek Adams for...Graham Carey......still amazed by that bit of trickery he did to beat that defender whilst literally trapped by the corner post.

PS.....Roma won 5-1 in the end.

I have become concerned we may lose Ryan Lowe to a modelling career.

We are definately getting an overload of womens sport these days especially on the box....being talked up as equal to the men....as if it was equal value.

Latest example...womens rugby......Darlington Mowden Park Womens RFC team....generally known as Durham Sharks.....have played three games in the Allianz Premier so far this season.....they played Bristol womens team yesterday.....the score board showed that they lost 15-0....but that isn't so.....the score board could only show up to a 100 pts....so reverted back to zero and started again.....final result was that they lost115-0......in there three games played in the Premier League so far this season their points tally is 5-274.

I have always been amazed how years back that Wimbledon started paying equal winnings for both mens and womens tennis.....the womens game play the best of three sets....and sometimes matches finish 2 sets to nil in under an hour.....yet mens tennis is best of five sets and at times can last for five hours.....now if you break that down to an hourly rate the men are well under paid compared to the women.

You can find at times a sports result that you start reading and suddenly realize it is a womens match amid the mens results....as if it warrants the same ability level.....the day women start getting paid similar wages to men at football will be the day that they get the same pay day as Wimbledon women.....there is no comparison between the women and men in sport and it shouldn't be judged as if it is....let alone getting similat wages.....when women and men play together in the same team....that's when wages will be equal.

I know many will disagree with my view.

Actually I do agree. There will be equal pay when they can get crowds of 70,000.

Compare mens tennis with the number of actual times a ball is hit in women's tennis. Men's generally goes bam bam thank you mam and the women usually knock the ball about for a minute at least before a point is scored. To be fair if I watched tennis, and I don't, I would prefer to see a few rallies which do happen in men's but nowhere near as often. women's cricket has improved out of all recognition and the football is rising. Rugby is also very competitive overall and not that bad to watch. None of it is quite as hard or fast as the men's versions but still reasonable to view in my opinion. As for money well they shouldn't increase the women's prizes. They should reduce the men's though as they get far too much.

The Government's pleas for people not to panic buy petrol is working really well.

Traffic queued from the George junction to the Roborough roundabout at 11:30 today due to traffic trying to get into the Tesco filling station. Most of them are probably using more litres getting there than they are buying!

I think anyone who voted Brexit should not be allowed to shop or buy petrol until all of the people who didn't vote Brexit have bought as much as they want. Boris and his Cronies should not be allowed to buy anything ever again. Reason for shortages of supplies is not just down to the several thousand European drivers that went home and didn't come back but that is a lot towards it. Also delays at the Borders thanks to being able to decide things for ourselves.

I keep telling you peoples that Boris is really Jonah and if you allow him to continue on our ship then it WILL sink without trace. If it isn't fecked yet then let Boris have charge of it and it soon will be. The man isn't fit to run an egg and spoon race. That's if eggs even still exist once he goes.

Well the free traders who foresaw a buccaneering Britain doing deals all over the world are now saying we must increase drivers wages in order to get Brits out of their beds.

I don't get it. That's a socialist state controlled economy, not laissez faire fee trade.

Funny accents don't bother me and I'd much rather have reliable supply AND low prices thanks, just like we used to.

I'll pass on a succinct summary of this by someone on Twitter.

"If Brexit isn't the problem, why are visas for EU truck drivers the solution?"

I'm getting increasingly annoyed with the nonsense senior Government figures are spouting about labour shortages.

There's much talk about up-skilling and high skill hi tech highly paid jobs. I'm all in favour and there are things we're good at. Financial services, aerospace, pharmaceuticals and you can add to that emerging markets such as green tech. Expanding those requires investment and training.

However, you can't up-skill social care, agricultural labouring or lorry driving. They are what they are. You can just pay people more for the same job but that isn't upskilling and just feeds inflation.

If you genuinely upskill the country, we all become richer and everyone can be paid more but it will take years if not decades.

The low paid shouldn't be exploited and if a foreigner comes here, they should be paid the same as a UK worker, which should be a fair living wage. Caring for the elderly or driving a lorry does require skills and pay should reflect that.

Let's not forget by the way that to a significant degree, care workers' wages are defined not by care home owners but local authorities who set the rate for the care itself. That in turn is heavily influenced by the government.

Upskilling the UK is an important long term project. It isn't going to put fuel in our cars this week and a turkey on the table for Christmas.

Read an article about a petrol tanker...doing a "Pied Piper of Hamelin" moment.....the tanker was driving along and collecting a convoy of cars following it.....it was only when it got near the depot the penny dropped....and all its convoy of cars realized that it was an empty tanker...and they had all been wasting what petrol they had.

Thing is it isn't just driving Petrol Tankers that there is a shortage of. There is a shortage of drivers for virtually every industry it seems. Pigs can't get to slaughter if there isn't anyone to drive them there and they can't be slaughtered if there is a shortage of slaughter men. Goods can't be delivered to shops if there is nobody to drive the goods there. Boris and chums are doing it again. "What shortage" is what they may as well say because they just don't get it or rather don't want to admit that they have fecked up. There was plenty of evidence that there would be shortages in certain jobs before we left Europe. There was plenty of evidence that we would have mega problems with Trade and borders. All you got from Boris was "What problem? nothing to see here and move along". The proof that he has no idea what he is doing and talking about was his response recently to the Farmers and what would happen to thousands of pigs. He didn't even understand the question let alone have an answer. How many more cock ups do they have to make before people finally wake up.

I heard today on the radio that if there was an Election tomorrow Bosso and chums would still be elected albeit with a reduced majority. A genuine opinion from me. People who voted Brexit to a large degree will not admit that it was the wrong choice despite all of the evidence now in the public domain. We would have to suffer another term of them to cover for their pride. I really despair at what is happening in my Country currently.

20 cars followed another tanker for several miles.... down a lane into a building site. He was delivering bulk cement powder.

I began to listen to Boris at the Tory Backslap Fest and only got part way through before my grandaughter arrived for a chat. I was getting a bit agitated so perhaps she saved the radio from going through the window. I did hear later the Next bloke. He only works in retail so what would he know in comparison to Boris and chums.

And after complaining like a good un what are you doing now if not exactly that? Difference is I won't tell you to "Feck off" like some on your board. You can single out one part of a post all you want if it suits whatever purpose you think you have but as said in my post afterwards he posted on 3 different boards the rest of the point made. I'm guessing though you are bored and are looking for an argument. Find a mirror and you can have one with yourself for hours if you like.
