we do need something from the West Ham match, not just for the point or points but because we need them to still be in touch with relegation and not be safe when they play Villa.

Yep , the team need to find that “ more to come “ on friday , if they do , it could actually be a comfy game , but the occasion is bound to spoil that scenario.
I’d say that muff have the hardest task , villa second hardest , us third and spam the easiest .

Manchester City make six changes from the side that thrashed Brighton on Saturday.

John Stones, Nicolas Otamendi are back in the centre of defence, meaning Pep Guardiola can use Fernandinho as a holding midfielder again, as he did in last week’s defeat by Southampton.

Ilkay Gundogan and David Silva also return in midfield, with Phil Foden joining Jesus and Bernardo Silva in City’s attack.

Eric Garcia, Aymeric Laporte, Rodri, Kevin de Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez all drop to the bench, as does Raheem Sterling - who with 27 goals in all competitions is the leading scorer in English club football this season.

Man City XI: Ederson, Walker, Otamendi, Stones, Mendy, Fernandinho, Rodri, David Silva, Foden, Jesus, Bernardo Silv

Man City in very much 2nd gear.

Having looked at our record there up till this season wasn't too bad goal wise.

2x 2-0 defeat, 3-1x 2 (that was after they scored inside 60 seconds!)

Plus we actually went 2-0 up in the Cup under Zola I remember!

A goal for Charlton against Brum - makes Luton's task all the harder.:)
