There's a good article somewhere where he details everything he does off his own bat to be as fit as possible and as good a footballer in every aspect as possible, there's a lot to admire in that.
Don't want to big up this kid too much but I've been mightily impressed with his attitude and everything he says in his interviews. He has unending enthusiasm and there's a lot of players who have been through our club in the past few seasons could learn a lot from him. Hope he stays a long time and as Raw says he could easily become a cult hero.
His attitude and stature remind me of a certain Kevin Phillips. I heard he used to stay behind and do the extra training. He was considered too small to play as a striker in his early days at Southampton but he managed quite well didn't he ......wonder if O'nien can follow that?
Funny to think a few weren’t keen after the first few games, he did look like he was struggling with the club. He’s exactly what we need now, versatile and tidy, and he’s never lost that day 1 look he had of ‘wow, I play for sunderland’. Top lad.
I briefly chatted to some Wycombe fans who came to see us at Charlton, in our end. They waxed lyrical about the lad, all the makings of a proper legend for us, as he was for them. Lots of O’Loving. If only more players had his attitude and aptitude.... but he does stand out for it
I'm really glad. Great lad. He does keepy oppies with tennis balls, fruit, you name it. I think he holds some sort of record. As has been noted, very good attitude, clean player. Pleased to see he is doing so well there.
My favourite without a shadow of a doubt. Vs the mags in that cup game, there was a small scuffle and one of their players gave him a shove. He looked at the crowd, smiled that cheeky grin and shrugged his shoulders! ****ing brilliant had us in stitches
