Are a mirror image of us at present. No strikers and manager clueless of his best team/formation... Hull City will head into Saturday’s home Sky Bet Championship clash with Sunderland on a downer, following last night’s 2-1 defeat at Fulham. The Tigers played five at the back in the wake of their 5-0 defeat at Derby and head coach Leonid Slutsky admits that he is unsure of his side’s best formation. “It’s the first time we played more defensively as it was a reaction from Friday,” said the Russian. “We have lost confidence. “We are very disappointed as I thought we deserved a minimum of a draw but we don’t have the time to be disappointed. “It is a very difficult time. We will have a special tactical lesson speaking about a new formation. “I find our best formation works with our attacking principle. We must decide problems together. “We don’t have time to be frustrated. We must look forward very positively. “I think my best team is a team who will play to the maximum level. We can play better. I hope in the next matches we will play better. “It was a normal match, we had the chances. Each new defeat it is like going back 10 steps. We must move forward very quickly. “It is a little bit of low confidence, that’s a normal reaction. My target is to change and get confidence.”
They will be looking at it exactly the same as us, a chance to win. Going to be a tough game, could go either way. Maybe who makes less mistakes
It will be good to finally play a team that isn't full of confidence. Unless they sack Slutsky (lol) between now and the weekend I genuinely fancy us to win. I wouldn't say Grayson is clueless about formations or his best team btw. Still learning but he does tend to play the same players when possible and it ties in with what we as fans know is the best eleven.
Can't see anything other than a thumping unfortunately. The players look devoid of confidence and don't seem to know what tactics or system to play. Hoping it could all change around with a shock result but I fear the rot has set in
Have you seen Hull though, they look worse. Especially short term(They have a goal scorer but he won't be fit till back end of the) Think it will be nervy both ways.
We were also by far the better team Tuesday night, we didn't look short of confidence in the slightest, we looked short of firepower.
Barnsley were in bad form as we're Forest and Sheff utd away from home. We don't look capable of keeping a clean sheet or scoring a goal.
I want to be hopeful, but my expectations are low We need a few lucky wins to get the confidence going, but if we can't muster a shot then we ain't gonna get that either
Just for the record we had 13 shots against Forest compared to their 8 with 3 on goal compared to their 2, it's not like we didn't manage a shot all game. Other teams are more clinical than us for sure but I believe there are goals in our team.
We were decent and deserved something more than a kick in the teeth, lets hope for a win against Hull, but Larsson's free kicks are a worry, with the way it is going for us atm.
Aye, you've read the Sunderland script mate. Larsson didn't put in a decent set piece for us for years but he'll bend in a 30 yarder against us in the 92nd minute for Hull.
Doesn't equate to a lack of confidence though, I admit we've shown nerves all season but we bossed the forest game, no sign of nerves, one mistake cost us a point.
At least we know ahead of time what'll happen haha. Never mind a target man we should get a new scriptwriter in.
The BIG GAME on Saturday is .... Scarborough Athletic v Sunderland RCA Fa cup second qualifying round £10 adult £5 age 16 to 11 £5 concessions Free 10 and under HULL CITY no concessions is a disgrace . Allam scum out
Stayed in a cottage last month with the grandkids which is owned by Scarborough's chairman. He was so enthusiastic about the new season in their new stadium and I wish them well for tomorrow and the rest of the season. If enthusiasm and positivity could guarantee success then Scarborough are in for a good year.
Little prediction. Football is usually ironic. Our next 3 games. Hull Cardiff Ipswich. I can't see anything than a kicking off Hull then it's the in form Cardiff and Ipswich. Then....Preston away. Mr Grayson's former club. A defeat there could be the 8th on the bounce and would leave us probably bottom or 2nd from with 5 points from 11 games. Prediction. Grayson will be sacked on Saturday September 30th. We then don't play till October 14th at home to QPR. Two weeks to appoint a new manager and reboot the season
Tend to agree with this. They are even more ****ty than us, but either way it's a big game for both clubs.
