They had 3 on target shots at home
    ...

... they were OK but we allowed them to be.

Parkinson got his tactics right tbh.

well that was never going to be a classic, hard to tell due to the weather but a couple of our lads looked a bit slower than normal...thought the ball from maguire to wyke was perfect but wyke was too slow to get there, noticed he seemed very lead-footed most of the game, time for a rest?

they had a very good spell at the start of the 2nd half but produced nothing too dangerous imho, after that we came back into it again then basically saw the game out without going 'gung-ho'...3 points is 3 points, and however we get them i will gladly accept them.

I’d take getting dominated for the rest of the season if it means we keep winning <laugh>

    Another sour grapes losing manager.
You'd think by now they could think of something more original to say.
Possession means nowt in football it's all about scoring goals, it's so obvious it's embarrassing just saying it.

I couldnt give a flying one about other managers.

I am still buzzing from yesterday ( and no its got nothing to do with certain types of toys). We showed grit, determination and the will to win. I do believe we have learned this league and are about to conquer it.

Tony Mowbray is my favourite when he was interviewed after we'd beaten them on their own pitch under Roy Keane <laugh>

"I want to be gracious in defeat but I know who was the better side on the day - the team with more control and trying to force the game."

    Gracious my arse ....

As long as the one in bold happens mate, that'll do me. Keep racking up the points and let the others worry about themselves. With so many teams involved, there will be twists and turns between now and May. We've just got to hold our nerve and put a strong finish in, like Barnsley did last year.

They had a 60/40 advantage in possession but every other pass was lateral or backwards. Oxford did not complete 3 consecutive forward passes the entire match. We pressed them from start to finish, all over the pitch. Little or none of their possession was in space with any sort of time on the ball.

Oxford kept trying to put runners in with through balls, but we always had a defender well positioned to shield the ball away from the attacker. _Except when O9 was caught out, in added time, and Willis had to clean up the mess, earning himself a big hug from O9!

Our attacks were much more incisive. We cut through them like butter. The Oxford defense tightened only when reached the 18 yd. box. They blocked a lot of shot attempts, and intercepted that final ball.

Excellent post and how I saw it.

As the home side they had three on target efforts ...

... only one of which I can remember.

Scowen is a wee lad and was pushed around a bit. He doesn't look as fast as Lewis Morgan from last season. (Morgan just signed with Inter Miami. btw) Scowan did execute a nice 'give and gone' yesterday.

Wyche not taking his chances is very frustrating, but he is far and away our best set piece defender. Bring in Lafferty whenever, but leave Charlie in there too - twin towers and all.
