Newcastle poised to sack Alan Pardew and appoint Steve Bruce and Alan Shearer dream team http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/newcastle-poised-sack-alan-pardew-4255884#ixzz3DEnTQ6Tp

Hmm, If they did get Bruce though, yeah we'd have a laugh, but Bruce is a half decent manager, he's far superior to Pardew. I'd rather they got Curbishley....or Dowie....or Lennie Lawrence. I have a fear they may go for McLaren, and that would make them decent immediately.
Hull City manager Steve Bruce says it is "disrespectful" to be linked with replacing Newcastle boss Alan Pardew. The Magpies lost 4-0 to Southampton on Saturday to add to the pressure on Pardew, whose side are now bottom of the Premier League. "I find it very disrespectful that I am linked with somebody else's job when he is still in the job," Bruce told BBC Radio 5 live's Sportsweek programme. "I am just concentrating on our game against West Ham on Monday." Bruce, 53, took over as manager of Newcastle's rivals Sunderland in June 2009 but was sacked in November 2011 before being appointed as Hull boss in June 2012. "I'm like any other manager, when I see another manager under huge pressure like Alan is - and it was only a few years ago I was in the same sort of situation - it isn't nice," added Bruce. "After what happened to me at Sunderland I know how difficult the north east is. "I have only been at Hull a couple of years and they have been really good. They gave me the chance to get up and running again and for that I will always be grateful."
Hardly distancing himself there is he? It would be a great job for him, at a very big club, and close to home. Whether it would be a smart move is a different story, but with the ownership turmoil at Hull, that might give him a reason. He does like to try & attack and they maybe would have the players for that, I wonder if they would recall Ben Arfa if this happened.
7,839. However, I think this is it for him. Hope I'm wrong like cos he is so ****ing feckless I would like him to remain.
Can`t see Shearer being interested. He`s too well off where he is. Don`t see him leaving his comfort zone.
Dunno tbh. Got to be getting close now. Bookies have him 2/7 to be next out. Depends entirely on what it would cost Ashley to get rid & replace. That`s all he`ll be thinking about. Purely money.
