Who is joining in the boycott ? What are peoples expectations now ? Are we witnessing a bump in the road or a nosedive ?

I’m not really boycotting, I’ve got progressively fed up watching the last few matches so I don’t think I’ll tune in today, with an eye on the scores.

    2-0 Town.

I will tune in to listen, but so dreary to watch. Perhaps the outpouring, statements, beating of breasts, will make a difference today.

Get the 1st goal, a surprising 2 -1 Town win, our misfiring engine rumbles into life.

    Is that enough metaphors!

Off the bar, 1-0 down, not the start we want.

We look very porous at the moment. I admire Marcus Stewart’s positivity on the iFollow, but I dread another Plymouth goal whenever they go forwards. We also seem intent on lumping it long. Jackson just missed a great opportunity, clear on goal but took too many touches and a defender got across to tackle.

We spend 5 minutes with the ball and get nowhere, Plymouth can get from their own box to taking a shot on goal in 5 seconds!

On a brighter note, I believe this is the first iFollow match I’ve watched this season with more than one camera angle! Would be more of a treat if we actually work their keeper.

    And Nolan passes backwards.....again!

I don't care if you're not fully fit, you can still pass forwards.

I know we’re missing several first team players - and there are a few lads out there for us - but we just look so predictable and tame. You can understand why we’ve gone three games without a goal. I can count the number of Nolan forward passes on the fingers of one hand. Apart from Dobra and Judge’s occasional glimpses of quality, we look so bereft of ideas. Our full backs look like they have room to roam, but in Ward and Chambers they just pass back or hoof aimlessly upfield. We’re being pressed in our own half and it’s causing us plenty of concern. I question the quality of our players, but we do not look a well coached team.

Another **** half of football from Ipswich.

Ponderous build up and not enough forward passing as per usual. Plymouth, a League Two side last year, look more competent than us and have played the better football.

Nuggets, you just wrote what I couldn't be bothered to. Like you say, very predictable style of play and a useless Nolan.
Nolan has singlehandedly broken down a number of promising attacks by going backwards when the next pass should be forward.

Nailed it. They’re not even that direct a team, Plymouth, they’re just incredibly quick in their transitions. Mayer (the number 10 linked with us last summer) and Kamara both look good and are direct in their running and very creative. We need some urgency. Crying out for a Bishop or an Edwards. I know he’s young, but expected more from Lankester in that half.

Yeah, fancy that, if you pass forward quickly before the other team gets back in shape you can make things happen. We're so slow that by the time we get the ball to the final third we're confronted by ten players in defence.

I'm not surprised Lambert hasn't made a change at half time but I think he should have brought Hawkins on already. Things are going to get tough for Paul if he doesn't win this match.
