    thanks for this.

I don't think i can cope with having nothing at all but wall to wall... well... deepst sympathies and all that.

I've gone for max on the ground that this is a flat out blast and his car is fastest, the end.

only an engine blow can save people and hamilton has already gone for new engine parts knowing they won't be competitive anyway.

most interesting car for me is williams and where will they be here.

Sounds like lots of grid penalties again for changing components!
This is getting silly. Why are the pu so much more unreliable than last year? Is it that this is last season before 2026 where changes could be made and all the pu manufacturers have pushed beyond reliability to ensure highest power possible knowing they can 'upgrade' by using the reliability argument?

There is an engine freeze which is all good for Ferrari I think. They have the fastest engine but also the most unreliable. During the engine freeze you are only allowed to make changes on the grounds of reliability. Opposite to this its not good for Mercedes who I think have the slower engine.

E10 Fuel will have had an effect plus it’s probably been a combination of the push for performance ahead of the freeze and the vibration effects the ground effect cars have had.

I can’t imagine the global semiconductor shortage has helped with testing schedules either, although we have heard very little from teams about that, which makes me wonder if they using a such specialised components that they have a low reliance on the Asian manufacturers, who’ve been so badly affected by the pandemic.

This site is great for streaming US racing, indy, indy lights, IMSA (multi class with LP2 GTE & GT3) and, most importantly, nascar.

I think 10 drivers now have penalties! FIA need to sort this as it's just destroying quali.
Hope Alex gets well soon. His stand in Nyck De Vries is doing well, less than 1/10th behind Latifi which is fairly good considering he has only had 30 mins in the car!!!

The authorities should simply start deducting from budgets for penalties and these would stop.

Red bull knew at spa they could easily take pen and here the pen is actually less for taking parts as its second time so there's an incentive for breaking the rule

I think they should scrap the penalties altogether , I mean anything that breaks the teams still have to pay for it !

Well, that's one way to go, but is it not the point that penalties are related to engine life andcost reduction for sustaining teams?

Yes it is , but it’s getting stupid though . Or at least increase the number of engines to 5 or 6 ?

I'd go the other way, make the penalties way more strict. The budget cap is needed for the long term health of the sport, and increasing the number of engines means teams will have to spend money on them to stand a chance of competing. If you allow 6 engines, Max will still take 2 penalties a season to get 8, because it'll still be optimal.

Maybe the penalty should be drivers & constructors championship points, as well as a grid drop.

They should basically be given total points deduction for the racebin question.

    Just for the laugh.

Then 10 place grid pen next race if they dnf
