One more annoying thing, if we were playing half decent, we may have a chance of something at Dippers and Spuds, neither playing to their previous standards
Ok guys 'n' gals it's time to revisit the predictions of where we'll finish this season. My view us pretty much unaltered in that 17th is about right, unless of course we can strengthen the team (not the squad) in the January window. Also, it's entirely possible that after the xmas & NY fixtures we'll be in the relegation places and that of course brings it's own pressures. If that happens will the club react and finally sign the striker we've been missing since Bambi hurt his footsy...err and his hamstring...err and his groin. On the other hand can we afford to sign a £30/£40M player and then have to sell him if we go down ? Don't forget our fixtures during the run in look horrendous as well.
I think we are entirely on course with the results I predicted (1 point less than I expected) so don't see any reason to change from the 14th position I went for way back when
The dice had us finishing 9th, although with 6 games to go we could have still been relegated. 14th was my prediction based upon me guessing the score of all 38 games we will play, and not just relying upon chance Although the dice has us on 18 at this stage (given that we have Forest and Scum to play), so only 3 points out on actual situation
Same here 17th and just avoiding relegation but dependent on the upcoming transfer window. I actually think beating Chelsea and Liverpool is what ironically might send us down. Those results kept Jesse in a job, it would be so Leeds to back him in a transfer window and sack him a week into it closing
I’m sticking with 15th. I had us about this position upto the mid season break. Reckon we’ll unlikely strengthen in January, though if we do, the newcomers will at least have a chance of a game before seasons end. Think Summerville and Sinisterra will both have to shine brightly if it’s not to be a nervous last few games.
Sadly, just like last season I think it will be a case of watching those below us and hoping they don't find three points from anywhere. Get Newcastle out the way and then we'll have a much better idea as the games arrive.
It's a revised prediction based on what you've seen so far this season. So as it stands where do you now think we'll finish ? Ps; It's not a competition and there aren't any prizes
I went for 14th and said on the 11 December that I had no reason to change it. Losing the one game we have played since that post, gives me no reason to reconsider my prediction However given that we have resurrected this thread a bit earlier than usual, I have again gone and done a predict every premier league result between now and the end of the season. Normally I do this after the transfer window closes in January, but at the end of the day its only a bit of fun As not all the games have been rearranged as yet following the postponement due to the Queen passing away, some teams in the final table below will still have 2 games to play whilst other will have one, however as it won't affect us (if I get all my predictions 100% correct of course ) I have decided to publish . I haven't bothered taking goal difference into account, as all my predictions are based upon the tried and tested method of a result will be either 0-0, 1-0 or 0-1 For any of you that wants to play along, then click the link below https://www.worldfootball.net/table_calculator/eng-premier-league/
As disappointing as Weds performance might have been, on balance the results across all the matches, worked for us, imo. I’m sticking with my start of season prediction of 15th. There will be hiccups along the way, and the 2 postponed fixtures did us no favours (nothing new there then). Hopefully we will achieve safety before the end of April.
I think I predicted 17th, I’ve no reason to change that because hand on heart there is not one team I look at and think confidently “we’ll win this”.
