After years of never being involved in the play-offs, we have our third in five years. However, unlike our previous ones, I feel we are a tad fortunate to be involved given our poor away form. Having said that, I have a sneaky feeling that we will be in the Championship after this, and looking forward to playing the like of Millwall, whom we have very much missed, haven´t we, behind closed doors. You heard it first. But if I have got it wrong, not to worry and let´s enjoy.
It's interesting to note that the dates for the League Two playoffs have been confirmed, bu not for League One. Do Peterborough have grounds for an appeal or was the decision to do a non-weighted points per game carried as part of the vote?
Mark Catlin reckons the first play-off game against Oxford United could be played end of June or early July. He is still waiting for the EFL to decide and advise when. There is talk of Sky TV showing the matches live. I've no doubt that Peterborough's owner has already enquired with his lawyers whether or not he would succeed in any legal case against the EFL !! I don't particularly like Posh's manager Darren Ferguson, or their director of football Barry Fry, but must admit they do have a very good squad of players including goal machine Ivan Toney, and our very own Dan Butler, who is performing well for them. I wouldn't have liked to have met them in the play-offs!
These matches will feel very surreal. Not bothered one way or the other. I suspect that when the season is over, Ronan will be on his way if promotion is not secured. Seddon and Raggett will also be a loss unless KJ can persuade the board to try and buy them outright.

For what it's worth... Against Oxford. We drew 1-1 at home in the League. We didn't play away in the league but drew 2-2 at their place in the EFL Trophy. Against Wycombe. We lost 1-0 away and won 2-0 at home. Against Fleetwood. We drew 2-2 at home and lost 1-0 away. We did however win 2-1 away in the FA Cup. The above is all academic of course and our record in playoffs is 100% going out in the semifinals! Still, there's a first time for everything....
I bloody hate playoffs. Though Joey 'twat features' Barton's Fleetwood losing 4-1 at home does make me happy.
I might be a Saints fan....but I feel for you guys at the mo. I didn't think you played that badly.........you sometimes just didn't get the rub of the green. Never mind guys there is always next season. ......and no I'm not taking the piss....!!
