On one hand I'm disappointed that we didn't sign another striker or an attacking midfielder, but on the other I'm glad we didn't sign - not that I think we were in the running to sign him anyway - Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Good player and all that, but it appears that he comes with some amount of baggage.

I'm not a fan of Deli Alli either, so glad he's not here.

Who can we add to that list?

Dembele for me, Overrated, Overpaid, Injury prone wasters with bad attitudes is how we got relegated back in 2008/09.

Also some one gave me a heart attack on deadline day claiming we had signed Iwobi!

Agree with the above, but I'll add Ekitike. He lacks the physicality for the French league, he's weak as piss and I'm telling you he's going to be a nobody in a year or so.

He's nowhere near as decent as Martial was when Man U signed him.

All of the above would have been upgrades I reckon. I'm glad we didn't sign Hendersen in goal as I think Dubs form has been terrible but people forget how good he has generally been for us and he's been coming back from injury. Good against Leeds and I think we're going to see the old player back from now, be better than a new signing.

Think you're possibly correct about him not being ready for EPL but suspect he'll do find in France and be worth good money. Doesn't mean we didn't dodge a bullet.

    PEA and Alli.
I don't like either of their attitude.

    On reflection Ramsey too.

I just think it would have been a mistake, I don't think he'd ever have cut it here. Thauvin was similar, was great, came here, was ****, went back, was great. No heart for the fight. Not singling out Etikite, it's a French thing. Ndombele, Martial, Pogba, plenty of big money failures. It's why nobody went for Dembele - they know what's coming, a bottler.

I was concerned that the only people saying he was the next Mbappe, or Henry, or whatever, were his manager and agent. Wonder if they stand to gain anything from over-selling.....honestly, I looked around online and couldn't find the kid mentioned anywhere. Went through so many list of "next generation" or "U21" talent across Europe and he literally never appears. Plus I don't trust Nickson in the slightest. He needs to be got rid of, he's an Ashley era cretin.

Dembele, Ramsey and Aubemayang, 3 mercenary pricks who would have put in zero effort and drained the club of a fortune.

Also Delle Ali and Donny Van De Beek, 2 players who have done Jack **** in the last 2 years, Everton and their twatbag new manager are welcome to them.

At one point during the transfer window I had a nightmare that we were signing Phil Jones. Literally woke up shaking and feeling sick.

Dele Alli - he might rediscover his form, he might not. I don’t believe we had the luxury of finding out.

Aaron Ramsay - Would have worried again about a player who has played little football, not really done it for a while. Think he’s made a good move which might give him a chance to rediscover his best. Not sure a relegation battle would have done that.

Generally it’s a difficult question though. Anything which helped for the next 4-5 months was fine with me. I wouldn’t necessarily feel that way over the long term about some of those linked.
