Wasn't it Klopp who said that last season when scousers were down here? Must be the Liverpool connection. Next time bring your own mower..........
I mentioned this in the match day thread. Listening to it on radio Wales driving home I was in stitches hearing the excuse. Jason Perry’s comment was he liked him as a manager but basically he inferred he was taking out of his rear end. He also criticised Cardiff’s tactics and play in general and said his team were trying to win and inferred only one team was looking to win it. Yes they hit the post but City despite being their usual sluggish self and creating little did put in some decent He should look at his poor decision not to bring on any subs if he wanted to win the game. They were delighted to hold onto a 0-0.
BBC stats say we had 14 shots, 3 on target. They had 12 and 1. So we had 3 times as many attempts on target as them. As well as them hitting the post, we hit the bar. Nothing in it really. Listened to it on the radio and it sounded like we had the best of the first half, them the second. Bit naive to say they were the only team trying to win it whilst complaining about the length of the grass. Doesn't show him in a good light. Hey ho. 92 years and counting for the double.
In fairness Smithies made 2 saves from on target shots second half. The free kick from the right and another, Ayew I think, which he caught above his head. All goes to show WoL can't even count up to two.
