We should be beating these kind of teams..the team MW put out looked pretty strong and more than capable of winning the game..early days but on this showing it looks like yet another season of scraping by and flirting with relegation#Groundghog day

If Carroll and Ball were able to stay on, I feel we could have been the better team. However, Manning at fault for two goals. Rest of the team had no chance of winning while Manning up to such shennanigans.

Carabao cup was the only cup that we can realistically have a good run in.

The thing is, I'd say we were the better team until Warburton broke the midfield up.

He can only start as a midfield player or wing back imo.
    Awful at defending.

Manning lost his player for 1st and 3rd goals, however Lumley beaten at near post for 2 and could have comfortably come out for cross first 3rd, he really is our weakest link. Their 19yr old goalie showed how to command the box. Smyth and Oteh unlucky in 2nd half and couple of great saves from their goalie. Amos/Carroll/Chair very average and weak. Dickie got done quite a bit in 1st half out wide, but seemed better 2nd half. Smyth only sub who looked capable of changing anything. If BOS goes we will really struggle to create, and any clean sheets this season will be a massive bonus.

I completely agree with the sentiments Beth. We don’t need this cup run at all as there is nothing to gain if the youngsters can’t step up.
But it’s a hugely disappointing result. My heart dropped when I saw we were losing 3-2 and into extra time.
Anyway... can we move on and get ourselves sorted for next Saturday (it’s as much a question as it is pleading!)

Completely agree. Always a shame to go out in the first round to a team in the division below us...but do we really expect anything different?

Hopefully Lumley is the 'cup keeper'.

Maybe we need an urgent look at our defence coach. We let in record numbers last season too
