According to the daily telegraph Hartlepool council are considering putting an explanation at the site of a monkey statue on the marina, the statue is about some local tale/myth and the council see it as possibly making the town less welcoming!!
perhaps the apes on the council should start this consultation with a sing song now altogether "woopi doo I wanna be like you" hopefully the chimp will have the last laugh
