Landlords are selling up because of all the legislation and new tax rules bought in over the last 5 years, causing a shortage of rental properties available, guess what, a 15-20% rise in rents in the last 2 years. This would only add to the problem.

 

People are losing jobs or not getting employed because of historical tweets.

Churchill charity boss embarrassed by great man but still takes £100k salary
THANKS to one of the most insidious acts of wokery ever, what once was the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust is now simply the Churchill Fellowship.
The name change, which effectively "cancels" Churchill from his own charity, has been enacted by the Fellowship's woke CEO, Julia Weston, who is so embarrassed by Churchill and his achievements that they've all been erased from his website along with a 1,400-word tribute about the much-loved leader and his "bulldog spirit". Worse, all the photographs of him were taken off the website until the howls of protest got too loud.
They were replaced by a series of mugshots (also now gone) of the vainglorious Ms Weston who, whatever she achieves in her small life, won't come close to Churchill's gargantuan feat in defeating Nazism and literally saving a nation. Which is why the racism disclaimer now splattered across the charity's new website is grossly insulting to Winnie's memory.

Doesn't it prick Ms Weston's conscience that she takes a £100,000 salary on the back of a man she's clearly embarrassed by but whose boots she isn't actually fit to lick?

But the question is: why are we allowing pygmies like her and the Left-wing woke mob to rewrite history and debase our heroes - demonising them for not having 21st century values a hundred years ago?

Let's not forget the Left-wing wokists actually compared Churchill to Hitler and the BBC (Leftie Central) had to apologise recently for not challenging the view that Churchill's attitude to the Bengal Famine was racist.
The Woke Brigade - and Ms Weston for that matter - have done little to contribute to this country's reputation, its achievements, its advancements, its values, yet we allow them to pick apart and spit on, not just our heroes, but the very fabric of a nation that would be under Nazi rule now had it not been for the wartime leader.
Weston's fatuous defence for the name change was that "it was confusing and didn't explain what we're about" (the charity sends British citizens abroad on travel scholarships).

What is it about the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust name that was so confusing that The Churchill Fellowship now makes clear? "The new name captures a sense of the fellow's remarkable dedication and public service," she says. No, it doesn't, you silly woman. It says nothing. But the reasons behind the change are sinister.

And why is Sir Nicholas Soames, Churchill's grandson, supportive of this? Can he really be happy that alongside his grandfather's achievements there is a racism disclaimer?

Why is it that the wokies see only racism when they rant about Churchill? Don't they know that apart from being the greatest ever wartime PM he was also responsible for the first minimum wage system, he introduced compulsory health insurance for workers who earned less than £160 a year.

Most importantly, these idiots will never have what was Churchill's greatest trait - a burning ambition that was never about him, but about his country. And that's why they come after him, because he personifies Britishness - and they hate that. Because they hate Britain.
He played an active role in bringing about social reforms which included free school meals and pensions for people over 70. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature. Oh, yes - and he won a war. But the Snowflakes don't care about that, just about accusations of his "perceived" racism.

It's time we kicked back hard at the wokies and their exploitation of our history which they use as a stick to beat and bully us with.

As for Ms Weston, is a woman so clearly embarrassed by Churchill and so desperate to downplay his achievements really the best person to run a charity set up in his honour?
