That is not nice to describe some of the citizens of Southampton but sadly true.It must be something to do with the mental make-up between Bristolians and Southampton folk. How can this fault be erased regarding the gentry of the latter city?

Imagine thinking people are lesser beings because they vote differently to you.

I am so pissed off with the way this Government is turning us into an ultra right wing nation that I looked up this quote just to remind myself that if good people do not challenge them and their sycophants then they will win and all the values of decency, integrity and respect will be gone and all in the name of Brexit and its ultra right wing fascist supporters.

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” It’s a quote routinely attributed to Edmund Burke. But it turns out falsely so. Apparently, he never uttered these words. At best, the essence of the quote can be traced back to the utilitarian philosopher John Stuart Mill, who delivered an 1867 inaugural address at the University of St. Andrews and stated: “Let not any one pacify his conscience by the delusion that he can do no harm if he takes no part, and forms no opinion. Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing. He is not a good man who, without a protest, allows wrong to be committed in his name, and with the means which he helps to supply, because he will not trouble himself to use his mind on the subject.”

What the hell is this ****? Peddled by the government via the Department of Education website as head teachers are “encouraged” to take part.
Perhaps we should dress the children in little uniforms and have them march past a giant poster of our “Dear Leader - Prime Minister for eternity” whilst singing this song and saluting?
What has this country become to sink so low - and I feel for the children of Bradford who have been brainwashed into this ……

    This government:
    Ignoring laws
    Withholding reports
Changing the power of groups that can hold the government accountable
increase of flag waving, and nationalistic propaganda
No accountability or ignoring their failures that would normally be a scandal.

Just thank your lucky stars you don't read the Express or the Mail. It's bad enough that the Government lie to you everyday without reading an absolute pack of lies (government propaganda) over your breakfast.

I now have a post-retirement part time job, putting out newspapers in the morning. As such, I get to see (nearly) every newpaper headline, each day, and it is fascinating to see the range of viewpoints that papers produce, when they cover essentially the same story. It is especially noticeable if a clear failure on the part of the government has recently occurred (eg the latest by-election victory for the LibDems). Both the Mail and the Express try to find something else to write about. Rather like sticking your fingers in your ears and singing loudly, to keep out things you don't want to hear.

I'm probably being unduly cynical, but it occurs to me that Matt Hancock has become a tad of an embarrassment to Boris, in terms of being found out about his incompetence. And now, The Sun has 'found' a story about Hancock having an affair, which will give Boris a perfect excuse to move Hancock out of the Cabinet, so that he can find someone else to take the blame for any Covid-related health failings.

I could be entirely wrong of course, and the government will defend Hancock to the hilt, as he is clearly a fine upstanding member of society. Yeah, right.

These pictures are not from the Paparazzi from internal cameras, someone clearly is willing to throw him under the bus.
The clinch allegedly took place on May 6, almost two weeks before the ban on hugging was lifted…….so do as I say not as I do.
