The funding they take away from the Tory constituencies (as if that will happen) can then go to where it is really needed, then.
The writing has been on the wall for a while to be honest. There has been zero integrity or accountability for such a long time.
Oh, and if anyone wants to know why Johnson needed to dash back to London and couldn’t use a train instead of a plane.
As a socialist I never thought I would say this but please can we have the Tory party running the country rather than this bunch of sleazy imposters.
The likes of Ken Clarke, Dominic Grieve, and Anna Soubry rather than Jeffrey Archer or Jonathan Aitken I assume?
How's this for a 'Cat among the pigeons' idea: Find someone (else) called Owen Paterson (or Owain Patterson, or similar) to stand in the North Shropshire by-election, as an Independent. This will confuse the Tory voters enough for any vote to be split, and for another party to win the seat. Devious, I know, but only as devious as the Tories' attempt to change the rules on Commons Standards, to protect one of their own.
As a Dutch friend put it "they want all of the rights and none of the responsibility". Oven ****ing ready? Who's been stuffed? https://www.theguardian.com/politic...it-row-david-frost?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other
I see Mr Big Sleaze himself will be hiding behind the filing cabinet in his office when the sleaze debate starts. They daren't let him be there as he is a loose cannon and Starmer will rile him so much he'll lose his temper and forget everything he was supposed to have listened to when he was briefed. He is totally unfit to hold high office. It is also part of a strategy to distance him from the sleaze so that the Express and Mail readers will still love him.
Maybe a law stating that any business that makes a “considerable” donation to a political party automatically disqualifies itself from receiving any government contracts for several years. Obviously there would have to be transparency as to where the donation came from, and if payments were made by businesses receiving contracts to the donors, because I am sure they would get a mate to make the donation for them.
