More "snouts in the trough" apparently all above board "There is no suggestion that any of the trio broke parliamentary rules. But their actions have raised concerns about the gambling industry’s apparent attempts to curry favour with politicians and the system that allows it." https://www.theguardian.com/society...eebies-taken-from-gambling-industry-by-28-mps
And Rupert showing that he is still calling the shots. Looks like the newish editor of the Fail is allowing stories to be printed to cut Johnson off at the knees.
There'll be a few by elections then, as the poor dears who can't manage on 80k plus expenses will have to stand down and **** off
But will Johnson still whip his MPs to vote against the proposal from Labour? What he says and what he does......... Won’t be too long before a leadership challenge. Jeremy Hunt has been keeping his head down, especially during the Covid cronyism rows, so I expect him to be in the running.
Just discovered that Owen Patterson set up the badger cull killing 140,000 badgers in the face of scientific evidence that it would achieve nothing and that it did achieve nothing as predicted
I have just visited the Leeds board for their view on the Rafik business. It is off the radar what they think, especially on their political page. By comparison our Conservative leaning members on here are raving commies!!!!!
That is putting it mildly. If I was an Asian football fan, the last place I would go is Elland Road. The one thing that is good about Manchester United is the diversity of their fan base, and I don't think a BAME person would get any hassle there.
In 45 years of being a football fan going to matches, the only 'fans' that I have had real racist issues with were Leeds fans. Led to 3 of them getting football banning orders and one a fine in court. We were walking to St Mary's and 4 of them were coming up the road behind us - This was literally 200 yards from the stadium on the Chapel Road side. The poetic justice was he had to pay the victim (my dad & me) £20 a month for a year in victim damages from his wages (yes I was surprised too he had a job) and we requested that it was paid directly into a fund for homeless children in India. Was a horrible experience, and one of the few times at football I have genuinely been afraid.
What a frightening experience!!! It could have been so much worse; I read that a Cambridge United fan was assaulted by some Southend fans, put in a coma from which he never recovered.
The Leeds board is disgusting, how is this forum being allowed to be used to incite hate and accuse Muslim cricketers of having links with paedofiles?
Ok, I think that’s enough of that filth. I had no idea things were so bad there, do they not have mods on that board?
Mods we get the message but please delete that vile racist nonsense from our thread. It doesn't reflect the way we think FFS.
Called it out about 2 years ago and fell on deaf ears - even got threatened with a ban for moaning..... EDIT: not by mods on here BTW
The world has become a very nasty place to be and no more so than here in a very divided Brexit Britain an outcome that has been inspired by and which has pandered to all the prejudices of the racists.
I am not one of those to label all Brexiteers racist, some went for it on purely political reasons I.e. ‘Take back control’ or because they genuinely believed the country would be better off, even if to me that is still a ludicrous concept. However Yorkshire specifically comes across as having major issues with the ‘send em back where they came from’ brigade, beyond just Leeds itself. Extending to all foreigners and minority races (particularly South Asian and Eastern European).
