Interesting, but you’re talking to mainly British people on this forum, and I think it’s fair to say we don’t see much of that kind of thing in this country.
I'm talking about news presented by the government to the BBC to present to us. - being the governments mouthpiece.
Well they have a duty to report. Sometimes we don't like it. We can't like everything. If they said, like the say in the States, that basically the Government is right, when plainly it was wrong, then we'd have something to properly whinge about. For example, Trump has said some quite plain racist and xenophobic things in the last few days, and he is unrepentant. Certain news agencies are spinning it as if such language is justified. When anyone with a grain of common sense knows that is untrue. Yet they get away with such biased reporting. Not so here.
I'm not sure I've really thought about the BBC being that or how I think about it. In theory of course the Govt and the Tory partys are seperate entities Any examples you can think of?
Is he hum-trumpetting the US National Anthem and thinking "**** me! I'm the POTUS. That's ****ing mad!"
I think people are inferring too much into my use of language here. i mean as in how Jeremy Wilson and the Telegraph are often considered Southampton's mouthpiece. Southampton don't control the telegraph, its independent. its just they have a good working relationship so they are first choice to give information to. The government and the bbc have a good working relationship and the government trust the bbc to release it properly, especially due to how transparent the BBC is to the government. The BBC's charter means they have to release it fully and impartially. i didnt mean to start a big thing over this.
Openly calling out of unpresidential behaviour. Honestly, you have to have a strong stomach to watch some of the behaviour of this US President and his followers. I find it utterly sickening. It literally turns my stomach sometimes. Anyway, this programme explained one of Trump's rallies from today. If you think Trump is decent human being, we ain't going to get along. It's that fundamental:
Now you are having a laugh, to be in the top 1% in Britain you need to earn 162,000 pounds pre tax a year (2017 figure). It is a very good wage but not mind blowing. You would have to look well down the list of popstars, movie stars, tv stars, or sportstars before you find the level of these people that do not earn 162,000. The 1% is not made of just the fatcats, its made of people that you pay to watch at the cinema, on TV or at a football ground. They also pay 30% of all total income tax. The 0.1% is a different matter and they have to earn more than a million. Hell even in the USA the lord and savior Bernie Sanders sold a few books and made it onto the top 1% for 2 years. Socialism does work after all Did communism turn into fascism before or after 100 million had died trying to make it work?
Lower the lights. Take down the bunting. Don't ever put the clocks again. It was a great programme. One of the few I actually watched on mainstream TV. Looks like it's back to my retreat of Radio 4, 4 Extra, 5 and the World Service. It's gone forever. No more The Tweeter, The Fleecebook, What's 'Appening, and the SnapNumpty, and after the summer will return as a casting pod. Rest in Peace This Week - oh I hope not. Cause a big stink and come back some day. Democracy needs you. Oh well: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0006wjb/this-week-18072019
There may - if we’re being generous- have been some ambiguity about Trump when he first came to power. But he has now exposed himself for exactly what he is. Anyone who doesn’t see it doesn’t want to see it. The man is a disgrace to the Office of President, and a source of shame for his country. Let’s not get on our high horses here though. We are about to install Boris Johnson as PM. A better educated Trump as far as I can see, and a man equally lacking in integrity or principle.
So you’re basing your whole argument that the left hate white people on a single Fox News load of sensationalist nonsense? At the risk of making my own sweeping generalisation, the reality is that the far right hate white people, just as they hate brown people, black people, and everyone who isn’t making money for them or giving them more power.
............But possibly easier to remove than that trumped up git Trump..............He is bloody dangerous.

UK vs US Healthcare Cost: Do we really want an Insurance based Health Service? You would be out of your tiny mind to want to do so. Yet, we're on a very slow road towards it.
