This weekend Pompey will look to recover from their 3-0 defeat to Oxford Utd when they welcome Walsall to Fratton Park. Like Pompey, Walsall currently have one League win and one League loss to their name, having been defeated 1-0 by Bury on the opening day of the season but having bounced back last weekend to defeat Oldham 2-1 (after going a goal down and scoring the winner in the 90th minute). As pointless as the table is this early in the season, Walsall sit 11th and Pompey 12th with Walsall on a goal difference of 0 and Pompey -1. New Pompey signing Dion Donohue arrived too late to qualify for the squad. Milan Lalkovic is a doubt due to injury but might just make it while Nathan Thompson and Matt Clarke will not be fit enough. Jamal Lowe remains suspended.

Hope it doesn't rain again. I got caught in that walking back from the shops today and I got soaked to the bone.
We are underway. Pompey attacking the Fratton End in this half. Pitman playing striker, Naismith behind him in attacking midfield
Bakayoko attacking gets stopped by Burgess who puts it out for a corner which is then caught easilly by McGee.
Pompey playing the ball around but a loose ball leads to a reckless challenge on May by Adam Chambers from Walsall. The physio's on to check on May while the ref issues a yellow card. Also, it's Jack Whatmough's birthday apparently. Hope it's a happy one.
Pompey throw on the halfway line, leading to a long ball by Burgess, headed away but Pompey retain possession. May plays the ball into the box and Walsall's keeper gathers it.
Long ball by Hounstrup again fails to meet the Pompey player but Pompey get the throw and go on the attack. Evans gets a shot on goal that goes straight to the keeper.
Walsall coming forward loses the ball to Naismith who advances by is caught and loses the ball. Walsall cant move forward and put the ball out.
