my mate says that HMS Victory was brought to Portsmouth after it was badly damaged during the Falklands war. He says the ship was renamed to ‘Victory’ after Portsmouth beat Cardiff 1-0 in the 2008 cup final. (well done for that)

    Is this true?

my uncle Reg says that portsmouth city council are planning to dismantle nelson’s column in trafalgar square and move it to portsmouth dockyards so it can be nearer to nelson’s flagship. that sounds like a waste of tax-payers money to me.

aunty Betty says that the spinneker tower is named after gary spinneker who introduces Match of the day and that the inspiration for the design was his ears.

    is she pulling my leg?
