My first prediction was 16th/17th, and sadly now I think we will be in the bottom 3 (Newcastle & Watford to join us maybe)

I am not convinced that even after the injuries are mostly cleared up that will have enough to stay up

On current form have changed my vote from 16-17 to 18-20. Missing some key players like Zimbo and some players have nor raised their standard of playing for the prem. What has happened to players like Leitner, Steipermann and even Emi? Lack of goals will be our downfall

Me too - I predicted that we would be 16th or 17th, I may revise that downward now and go for 19th. The question posed at the beginning of the season was "are there three worse teams than us in the Premier League" - at the time I though yes but now am not so sure. OK, we have been dreadfully unfortunate with the injury situation, especially in the centre of defence, but even with a fully fit squad we appear to be a bit short of quality.

Will January help - hope so but let's hope we can turn our fortuned round sooner than that, starting this Friday.

    OTBC.

    I don't see how?
If we spend £4m, everyone else will spend £14m+ so
status quo will be maintained....or the gulf wider still. <yikes>

Interesting post ocf, but I'm still confident that we can do enough to survive in the PL. We're faring much worse than I expected us to, but I still feel that DF and his coaching staff can turn things around, though it may have to wait until we've all sung Auld Lang Syne (to the wrong words I might add!! :emoticon-0121-angry).

Nothing against you Geordies. We'll just have to see how the season goes. Toon had some better results in recent weeks, but can they be consistent?
Maybe the likes of Norwich, Watford, and Saints will be so bad that you can afford to have a really bad season and still survive <laugh>
