Interesting one this - few articles out this week detailing the wages of the premier league managers.

Is anyone else surprised that Ralph is the 6th biggest earner in the league?

Not that I'm complaining, considering how influential a manager is compared to a single player he seems well worth it.

If that's true then yes I'm surprised. Would also be surprised if we were paying double the amount for Ralph as warchest Everton are paying Silva, and theres plenty of other managers on that list at bigger clubs, or at least clubs that spend more money that I would have expected to be higher than Ralph.

I can see why he is getting so much money, He literally runs everything within the football side of things alongside Ross.
And it's a deserved wage, He deffo earns his coin.

Surprised but also not surprised, if that makes any sense. I can certainly see why he'd command such a high deal.

Have to remember his last job was Leipzig where he finished 2nd in Bundesliga and led them into the Champions League.

Massively shocked by that list. After Ronald left for Everton on that giant inflated wage, we are now paying the same, while they have managed to cut there's in half! Woah.
And on a side note...............that's the best £6M a year we have ever paid.
Ralph is worth every single penny.

Not sure how accurate that is, but I wouldn't be surprised if we are paying him a lot. We don't have fame to offer him or a high chance of winning anything and getting into Europe. We wanted the right manager after losing our way and hopefully Ralph is that manager...no point in faffing around about the wages when you consider what players earn.

He's in a beautiful position now. Two years left, lets negotiate..........I'll just go and get Everton for you!

BTW that article is written appallingly...even bearing in mind the low bar set in the modern world. Punctuation is not optional...even minimal use improves clarity. And did this person even proof read what he had written!
And lastest is not only not a word, it is a very ugly word when latest is available.

Rant over...I'm going away now to brood. Long and hard.

The quoted figures are presumably the basic wage...there will be bonuses and I bet Klopp's bonuses were massive. Adkins must have got a sizeable chunk for two promotions even at titchy Saints.

TBF the club must've saved a fair amount on salary when they binned off Reed and Hunter.

Not surprised at all. Don't see why he would've taken the job without a lot of re-assurances/promises and salary would've been one of them.

And I would guess Ralph would have got a fair chunk for keeping us up, bearing in mind where we were when he arrived.

Somewhat surprised by that........maybe we haven't been giving the right Kudos to Kat and co for their ambition.
It also does make you think whether RK really did leave for money or whether it was ambition as he is alleged to have said?
We lost Pochitino and it looks like Spurs had to least double his money to get him. Well done the Saints board...........

Money well spent by the board. If that's accurate then I'm relieved to see they would much rather give a really good manager a high salary than give a mediocre manager a low salary and keep costs down.

I think that the current board have earned the benefit of any doubt for the time being at least.
